Vehicle Detail
1972 Mustang Mach 1. I bought this car when I was in high school, drove it for a few years in the summer only and then I bought a house and there it sat, for more than ten years in dry storage. I got it home recently, put a rebuilt disributor in it and got it running. It still needs some work to be driveable as it is still burning ten year old gas and needs some tuning, the brakes are very soft and it sat on these tires the whole time. It has a 351 cleveland 2v with an aftermarket aluminum four barrel intake. It had an FMX trans that took a dump on me, so I put a four speed T-10 in it with a centerforce clutch. It has fold down rear seat. The car is from California and is pretty damn solid but there are some minor rust spots shown in the pictures, bottom rear wheel wells (worst shown), near hood hinges a blister, seam at a pillars are blistered, battery box area,it is still about as solid as you could find for one of these old cars, floors, frame, etc. all nice. It also has some accident history but nothing severe. it was hit in the front passenger corner so that fender has mud in it but a replacement comes with, as well as three extra grills and two extra nice urathane bumpers. It was olso sideswiped in the drivers quarter as you can see in the pictures. there are a few small roof dents on both sides and some waves in the hood but all easily fixable for a good body man, The paint is old black repaint and looks good from a distance, but is in need of a redo. It was originaly green with argent stripes. I have a TON of spare and better parts for this car that all come with the auction. Here is a list of most of it. Spare mach 1 hood, rear seats that match the fronts and vice versa, four taillights, radiator, fan shroud, repop inner fender well and battery tray, two non a/c heater boxes, two tack clusters and one idiot light, five center dash sections three with gauge pods, under dash wire harness for full gauges, three sets pass. side panels, one set far rear panels, outside mirrors, a full set of glass minus one 1/4 window, door internals, auto shifters, ten american racing rims total- four 14x7, four 15x7, and four 15x8.5, door panels, door parts, a green full console with manual shifter boot, a VERY nice set of Boss 302 valve covers, one set of heads done years back with roller rockers, two other sets of heads, anothers set of roller rockers, a two bolt block, rods, pistons, new front rotors, newish rear springs with aftermarket sway bar, misc suspension parts, whole dash, very nice green padded dash(has a quarter size crack, but hardly noticeable), interior trim, exterior trim, two front valances, e brake lever, lights, and a whole wotta stuff for you to explore. I expect cash on pickup unless other arrangments are made before hand, contact me and I'm sure we can work it out. Zero feedback bidders clear it through me before you bid or I will cancell your bid. For sale local so if I sell it I will end auction early. Please feel free to ask any questions and more pics upon request and feel free to come check it out. If I wanted to one of these cars this is the one I would do. When I bought this car almost 15 years ago I looked at more than a dozen and this was the one I chose.
