I am selling my 1977 Pontiac Trans AM S.E. This is a real (Y82) special edition and is P.H.S. documented. The car is highly optioned to include electric trunk release that was added using factory wiring from a donor car. It also has a 400 W72 (200hp) engine 6.6 T/A (Y6) that has been rebuilt - non original engine. This Special Edition 'Smokey & the Bandit' Trans Am runs strong and sounds good! The car drives and handles very well, it does not pull and it stops straight. I have had new metal work welded where there was rust. New drivers door skin and hinges were replaced. I do have a passenger door skin that has not been put on. The passenger door has a couple dents. I have taken the trans am to a well known local restoration shop and they told me that the door can be fixed. The trunk and floor pans were treated with POR-15. The interior is in good driver condition and looks good but it is not perfect. The drivers seat has some tears and very minor imperfections on the rear seats. I have purchased new carpet (ACC); not installed, but will be included with the sale. The carpet that is already in the car is in driver condition. The gold dash has minor imperfections but still looks good. It has a new rear package tray and new dash cap. All of the gauges work (except for the clock; it works periodically). It does need a headliner with the T-Top cut out ( I have a headliner but it does not have the cut out).The car has new MOOG front springs and new front KYB shocks. The hood needs to be aligned along with the driver side fender (where it meets the door). The car needs to be repainted with new decals applied. I have a new trunk seal that is still in the package and a new dome light and dome cover in the package for the headliner. Also, included is the original space saver tire. The front disc brakes have been rebuilt with new bearings, rotors, calipers, pads, and lines. The rear brakes have new shoes, brake cylinders, and new axle seals. The car has a new blower motor and heater core. Once this is completed this S.E. will be worth the investment. This car is being sold AS IS. *Buyer reserves the right to end auction early.
