This is an above average, clean good running Chevy S-10 with good miles that was totaled out by the Shelter Insurance Company. They don't tell me why they did not repair but be glad they did not because this truck would not have been available to purchase if not damaged because as nice as it is the previous owner would still be driving.
This is the optional long bed 7' 4" inside. It is also a 4.3 V-6 with automatic 2-wheel drive.
I have found that the salvage rebuilders that I buy from Insurance companies are much better because the vehicle was in service and doing fine until damaged.
This truck has very minor damage and will be an easy repairable for anyone and a clean great running truck when repaired. The damage is what can be seen with the exception of the lower fan shroud tabs that sit in back of radiator are broke. Otherwise it all can be seen. The radiator & condensor are not damaged and the air blows ice cold. No frame or suspension damage and I tried to take a picture of the passenger side frame horn so you could see it is not damaged. The end of the frame horn may need to be straightened to install new front bumper? Windshield is good and both doors swing as they should and hood will latch. You can see in the side pics that the bed or cab did not move because it was a light hit. There will not be any suprises when ya pick this up, I disclose everything that I see and I don't miss much but if anything is questionable in my 45 pictures just call and I will be glad to help.
The engine is the sweet 4.3L V-6 Vortec and this engine is super quiet, no smoke, oil leaks or noise. I did a roadtest and this little thing runs like a RABBIT. The truck drives straight down the road and will drive or trailer home easily.
The overall truck is above average for what I have seen in the older S-10 and GMC Sonoma trucks because they are getting hard to find in good condition. There is no rust, hail or parking lot dings other than normal wear & tear and the miles are not bad either( about 8,800 per year).
The interior is nice also other than some minor spots that can be ssen in pics. No smell from smoking or anything else just a clean comfortable driving truck with tilt wheel, cruise control, reclining seats and ice cold air.
I ran a Carfax and it reported a good history with 3-owners.
