Please do not expect to buy this car and not spend another dollar to make it right. It will need repairs to make it reliable and roadworthy. If you do not have the skills or extra funds for repairs, then this car is NOT FOR YOU. Here is a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu with 126,000 miles. The exterior is Bright Silver Metallic and the body is in fair condition. There are some dings/dents/scrapes along the sides and to the front and rear bumper covers. The hood panel has multiple stone chips as shown in the photos. This car would likely shine up nicely if you spent an afternoon buffing the paint. The interior is Grey custom cloth and needs a very thorough cleaning and shampooing. The upholstery and carpets are extremely soiled, but not badly worn. The carpets will need some extra effort to get them cleaned, but we have seen some amazing clean ups with the proper solutions. This Malibu features front buckets with a floor console and full rear bench seat. There are power locks, CD player, air conditioning and manual windows. This is a rather basic car, not too many options here. The air conditioning is NOT working and rear defogger must be repaired. The drivetrain is a 3100 V6 sequential fuel injected engine bolted to an automatic overdrive transmission driving the front wheels. The engine starts up quickly and transmission shifts through all the gears. The car does run and drive. All four tires are Futura radials mounted on the factory steel wheels with hubcaps. The two front tires are bald, down to only 2/32" treadwear, two rears are at 5/32". We performed a BASIC safety check on this Malibu and found a list of issues that will need to be addressed. The right front strut and mount are worn, front brake pads and rotors are worn, A/C compressor is bad, rear defogger tab is broken off the back glass (must be reattached) and the air bag light sometimes flashes when driving. There is also some evidence of oil seepage under the car. We will NOT investigate the origin of these leaks. Our technician did change the oil/filter and top off all the fluids. Again, this is a NO RESERVE auction for a car that needs work. Please be realistic in your expectations and read this listing carefully. The Carfax report is clean with no collision history. We do not subscribe to other history reporting agencies so we base our info on the accuracy of Carfax. Please be sure to ask questions and look at the photos before bidding.
