Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a 1990 Lincoln Mark VII LSC (Luxury Sport Coupe) that was the premium sports coupe of it's day. The only option it doesn't have is a sunroof. We have upgraded the stereo to a Pioneer AM/FM/CD player with upgraded Pioneer speakers. This would make a nice car for someone who wants to revive a classic. The body is all original and in great shape, there is some minor surface rust in the lower quarter panels and on the trunk lid (see pictures) but overall it's solid. The paint is also a little thin on the hood and trunk (see pictures). The exhaust from the catalytic converters on back were just replaced. If I was going to keep it I would have the front rotors turned and new pads. I believe it also will need the valve cover gaskets replaced as there is a minor oil leak at the back of the engine. Other than that, I think it's in good shape. Two years ago I replaced the airbag suspension system both front and back with an aftermarket spring system so you don't have to worry about coming out and finding it on the ground. I also replaced the radiator last summer and I also put a new battery in it a month ago. I would love to keep this car but I just don't have the room for it and I'm hoping that it will go to a good home. This car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early. I also reserve the right to cancel bids from those with negative feedback or less than 10 ebay transactions. If you have less than 5 ebay transactions and you want to bid, please contact me with your email address and confirm your intent to purchase within an hour of placing your bid, otherwise I will need to cancel your bid. No new bids from those without 5 ebay transactions will be accepted in the last hour of the auction. (sorry, but I've been burned a couple times) I have tried to include clear pictures that show the true condition of the car, but understand that it is not new and if you have any questions, please ask. It is being sold as is and there are no guarantees or warranties expressed in this sale. Good Luck and Happy Bidding! * * * * * * * * * * Hi, just some additional information: I'm not a mechanic so I'm just guessing at the leak being the valve cover gaskets. It is using maybe a 1/2 qt. in a 1000 miles (I don't drive it that much); on longer trips there is a little light smoke coming from the back of the engine. However, it does not leave any drops on the pavement when it is parked. Also, it will soon need tires (about 20% tread left?) and the power door locks aren't currently working (they activate - just gummed up somewhere and I haven't taken the doors apart to figure out why they are stuck). Thanks for your interest.
