1978 Chevy Half Ton Pickup 33221 Original Miles! No Reserve!! You are bidding on a 1978 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe half ton pickup truck. It has an unbelievably low 33221 miles. I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle, I have owned it for over 10 years. It was purchased new by my grandfather who used it on his farm. He sold it to my brother who kept it for a few years and then sold it to me, so it has never been outside of our immediate family. I just don't ever use it except for an occasional trip to the lumber yard so it is time to let it go! This truck has the 350 V8 4 barrel engine and automatic transmission. It has new tires and a new fuel pump. The engine starts easily and runs smooth with no ticks or other noises. The transmission shifts smoothly and it drives great! It has a sliding rear window, power steering and brakes. It has always been garaged. It has a dual exhaust system with glasspack mufflers that exits in front of the rear wheels. As you can see from the pictures this truck is basically rust free. There are some surface rust spots on the paint in a few places. There is one small rusted spot on the right side behind the front wheel. It is nearly impossible to find a truck of this year that is not rusting out! No body work has ever been done on this truck! It is totally and completely original and untouched. There is a fairly large dent on the right side lower panel in front of the rear wheel. There are numerous dents on the tailgate from farm use as seen in the pictures. The interior is like new with no rips in the seat, and the dash is in excellent condition. I noticed when I drove it down the road this week that the speedometer is not acting right. It is reading around 75 mph when you are actually going about 50 mph. It also tends to "bounce around" at lower speeds. I have no idea why it is doing this or if it is an easy fix or not. The odometer appears to be functioning normally as I checked it over a known distance and it was correct. I'm not sure what it will take to fix this but rest assured the miles are accurate!
