This TR4 is one of the later TR4's, as evidenced by the mounting of the steering rack. It is a 1964 or 1965 model. However, the VIN plate has been removed. I do not know what the actual mileage of the car is. The body is in good cosmetic shape. The car shows no evidence of collision damage except just below the left tail light, where the sheet metal is pushed in. The paint is a combination of grey and black primer, so it is hard to tell from the pictures what the condition of the body is. The car is not rust free. There is a layer of fiberglass on the floors and on the trunk floor, and the rear fenders have been fiberglassed to the body just behind the doors. Filler at the bottom of the right rear fender is visible in a picture. The stainless beads between the rear fenders and the body are still present, and the seam has not been filled with bondo, so the rear end of the car is not bad at all.. Patch welding has been done at the front of the rear wheel arches, as shown in a picture, and there are patch welds at the front of the inner sills. The car runs, and I have driven it around the yard, so the engine, transmission, brakes, and gauges work. There is a relatively new handmade dash in the car. The wire wheels look pretty good, and there is a spare wire wheel. The tires hold air, but are old and do not look roadworthy. It would not be hard to get this car on the road and have a car which is fun to drive, but it would be a big job to restore it to show condition.
