Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a beautiful 1967 Mustang which has been meticulously restored. The whole car was stripped down to nothing and was rotisserie media blasted. The cowl and the floors had to be cut out and completely replaced. The car was purpose built to be an improved upon tribute to a gt 350. Improvements include all original equipment plus Power windows, door locks, trunk release billet tilt column, flaming river rack n pinion, every suspension piece is new, vintage a/c through the dash not underdash car came with a/c originally, roll bar, the interior has been insulated completely with dynamat, 4 speed aod trans w/ 2500 stahl speed trans rated for 600 ft lbs of tq, 4 wheel power disc brakes, Lincoln Versalles disk 9 in. posi rear 355 gears 1969 302 steel crank, rods, forged 9 to1 pistons aluminium heads roller rockers 490 lift cam with enough duration to make the exhaust bumpy but not obnixious, 177 polished blower purpose built to order demon carb, MSD ignition incl. billet distributer, coil, 6al btm, March billet custom design pulleys, custom adjustable motor mounts, and im sure a million things I will forget to list. The motor hasnt been started in the car yet. Lacking trans lines starter various electrical connections etc. The shelby body kit was carefully, corectly moulded into the body (not a botl on kit) the paint and body work cost over 11k and is georgous. The car is 90% complete and I have almost everything necessary to finish it. This car was a joint venture between myself and a very close friend who recently passed away. I wanted to finish the car in his memory and sell it to help his wife and daughters financially. I just cant seem work on the car without getting emotional. It cost almost 60k in parts to get the car into this shape not to mention the thousands of hours of laughing and goofing around, I mean labor that went into this car. I would love to be able to recoupe half of thet for my friends widow, although in this market I know that would be difficult. Im setting a reasonable reserve price which is really a bargain. This car is not a hack job it was built with the intention of keeping forever. Please come and see the car in person, thats the only way you could understand the quality and effort that went into it. Its located in Delray Beach Florida. I hope whoever ends up with this car enjoys driving it half as much as I enjoyed spending time with my friend building it... Every penny from the sale of this car will go to my friends family.
