Although the car looks very nice, there are a few small flaws here or there typical of a 3 Year-Old Restoration! As we said before the interior was completely gone through in 2007-08 and shows VERY-VERY Nice! It has the correct vinyl seats, carpet, and yes…even “MG” Floor Mats! Everything is stock in this little roadster except for the stereo which has been upgraded with an aftermarket Sony Am/Fm CD Player which is hidden under the dash and operable with a wireless remote! Under the hood of this MGB is the factory original numbers matching 4-Cylinder Powerplant which is mated to a 4-Speed Manual Transmission! In 1974 Bob Thiel left Thiel Motor Sales and teaching to become a partner in what is today Burnette-Thiel Ford. John along with his Father Jim and Mother Mary stayed at Thiel Motors to serve the DeWitt area. In 1992 Mary passed away after a bout with cancer. After her death, Jim decided to retire from the business and turn it over to his son John. John then retired from Teaching and went into the business full time. In 1997 John's son Jim came to work for the family business. John's other son Jon Jr. Came to work for the business in 2001. In 2001 Thiel Motors had grown so rapidly that they opened a second location in Clinton Iowa.
