Runs extremely smooth and strong, with only 60k original miles. Everything works 100% (except the AC). You could drive this car everyday and go anywhere with it in confidence. Please see the full description below:Car has the following options and features: -Original 351 V8, runs smooth and very powerful -Rebuilt Automatic trans, shifts ultra smooth -Power top, works great, glass rear window -Power Steering -Power Disc Brakes, stops like a modern car -Rim Blow horn works great -Leather interior, with new leather on front seats -Air Conditioning, need compressor replaced -Original Am/FM Stereo radio, works fine -Retracing headlights work fine -Sequential taillights, work fine -New Edelbrock Intake, Carb, and electronic Distributor -New custom Dual exhaust, sounds awesome -Ralley Wheels, and new tires -Brakes, Suspension all recently reconditioned -Original spare tire and jack, and boot top The engine starts with a flick of the key, idles at 800 rpm with no assistance, and runs super smooth and strong. This original engine, and its performance is a highlight of the car. If you floor it, this car will really fly. The only change from stock is a modern 4 barrel carb and aluminum intake, and the fancy valve covers. The car is very solid, with no rust areas top or bottom. The frame was undercoated, and the rear floor pans were professionally replaced, has no rot anywhere. Front and rear frames, and torque boxes are all totally solid. All exterior sheet metal is original and in great condition. The paint is about 4 years old, was done in Lacquer in the original crème yellow color. It has that nice glow, and shines brightly. There are no rust bubbles, dents, or scratches anywhere. Please look at all of the pictures, it is a nice straight car. Interior is excellent. New carpets. New front leather seat covers that are glove soft, over new foams. The seats are very comfortable even on long drives. New door panels. Dash has no cracks. The top is in very good condition and operates flawlessly. All of the gauges, lights, blower, interior lights, radio, and accessories work 100%, with the exception of the AC. Driving this car with the V8 power, power steering and power brakes is a pleasure. It goes straight and strong, trans shifts smoothly, brakes firm. I have taken numerous long drives and everything works as it should. You can drive this car with confidence anywhere and regularly. All maintenance items up to date. This Cougar XR-7 convertible is a great driving car! Runs extremely smooth and strong, with only 60k original miles. Everything works 100% (except the AC). You could drive this car everyday and go anywhere with it in confidence. I bought it in May, and drove it back from Akron OH. PA safety inspected to June 2010. The engine starts with a flick of the key, idles at 800 rpm with no assistance, and runs super smooth and strong. This original engine, and its performance is a highlight of the car. If you floor it, this car will really fly. The only change from stock is a modern 4 barrel carb and aluminum intake, and the fancy valve covers.

The car is very solid, with no rust areas top or bottom. The frame was undercoated, and the rear floor pans were professionally replaced, has no rot anywhere. Front and rear frames, and torque boxes are all totally solid. All exterior sheet metal is original and in great condition.

The paint is about 4 years old, was done in Lacquer in the original crème yellow color. It has that nice glow, and shines brightly. There are no rust bubbles, dents, or scratches anywhere. Please look at all of the pictures, it is a nice straight car.

Interior is excellent. New carpets. New front leather seat covers that are glove soft, over new foams. The seats are very comfortable even on long drives. New door panels. Dash has no cracks. The top is in very good condition and operates flawlessly. All of the gauges, lights, blower, interior lights, radio, and accessories work 100%, with the exception of the AC.

Driving this car with the V8 power, power steering and power brakes is a pleasure. It goes straight and strong, trans shifts smoothly, brakes firm. I have taken numerous long drives and everything works as it should. You can drive this car with confidence anywhere and regularly. All maintenance items up to date.
