1949 Chevrolet Pickup truck, project, does NOT run, and has been sitting in a field for many years. This truck is fairly rust-free for its age, please note the photos of the floor with the rust it is showing. The body is basically straight, some minor rust but does not appear to be through the metal except for the rust in the floor area of the cab. There is also a cut about six inches long in the driver-side of the hood (again, see photo). The truck appears to have the original six-cylinder engine and manual transmission. This truck will require a lot of work and is represented as a complete project vehicle. The body is straight, front and rear glass are good, but the passenger and driver side glass are NOT good. It does have the original radio in it along with the original bench seat and steering column and steering wheel. The fender was removed to aid in towing it to my house. I do have a clear, and clean Oklahoma title for this truck. Tires are either missing or dry-rotted. Even with the negatives, an all original complete truck like this is getting harder to find. GM has a replica of this truck that list for over $49,000 with fiberglass fenders and a steel cab. Why not restore an orginial for a fraction of the price? On Aug-24-10 at 03:49:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Two additional notes. It has been brought to my attention that this is a GMC engine and probably not the original engine. Also another viewer pointed out that it has a repaired crack in the rear glass. I have lowered my reserve on the vehicle.
