I am the second owner of this classic 280SEL purchased new in Florida. Car now resides in Virginia. I believe the mileage to be true. I have only driven it about 5000 miles in the last 13 years. Car has not been driven lately It will not start now but was running fine 2-3 years ago when I quit driving it. Only known mechanical problem is a fluid leak at the steering box. I have a seal kit to repair this. Only known electrical problem is with one or two of the power windows. A/C and original Becker radio were working but heating/cooling controls have a couple of broken knobs. I have all the wood interior trim and chrome exterior trim except the driver side rear view mirror. Paint has some blisters (see photos) but there is no rust-through anywhere. Chrome trim, door trim, and seat covers are in excellent shape as you can see from the photos. An excellent restoration project but at age 73 I have lost the energy for it. Car is sold As-Is.
