Vehicle Detail
Thank you for your interest. I have over 200 feedbacks and all 100% positive feedback. I have never had negative feedback. I am always honest. I will give you the vehicle history and describe it to the best of my ability, leaving nothing out. 1. My uncle bought this vehicle on 07-07-75. He lived in Mesquite, TX (a suburb of Dallas). 2. My uncle used the car as a daily driver until 1982. In 1982 he permanently parked it in the the garage. 3. From the time he purchased it in '75 until '82 he parked it in the garage at night. Since 1982 it has not left his garage, until last month. 4. I have not seen any rust on the car, and do not believe it has any rust issues (other than maybe the brakes). 5. I have no idea why he did not drive it anymore after 1982. 6. My uncle passed away last month and left this car to me in his will. 7. A few weeks ago we had it hauled from his home in Mesquite, TX to my parents home in McAlester, Oklahoma; where the car presently sits under a tarp in their fenced in backyard. 8. The car does not have a battery in it, but I hooked up the jumper cables to it just to see if it would crank. The engine cranked fine, but obviously it would not start (one would probably need to replace the gasoline, water, plugs, points, and plugs). 9. The car has a V-8, 289 engine (that is all I know about it). 10. It is an automatic. 11. The right front wheel would not roll when we were winching it up on the trailer, and when we were getting it off of the trailer. The right front wheel is locked up for some reason. 12. I have absolutely no idea why my uncle parked it permanently in 1982. It could have been because he bought a new cadillac at that time, because of his divorce about that time, mechanical trouble, or some other reason (I have no idea). I also have no idea as to what works mechanically on the vehicle, and what may not work. 13. I live in Sacramento, CA and have the title with me. It has been signed over to me. I took the title to the CA DMV and discussed it with them today (8/23/10). They suggested I just send the buyer of the vehicle the signed title and a bill of sale and let the new owner register it in the state they are located. Therefore, this is what I plan to do (provide the buyer with the signed title & a Bill of Sale). Please also rest assured that I will do all I can to assist the buyer if anything else may be needed from the buyers state DMV. 14. Although the vehicle is parked at my folks house in Oklahoma, they are elderly and as much as possible, I do not want them disturbed over this matter. I realize that this transaction will involve them to some degree, but I request that you please be sensitive to my aging folks and work with me so as to minimize any effort on thier part. 15. I listed the vehicle through ebaY, so therefore I am not going to go around ebaY or make any side deals. Such would be wrong. 16. I forgot to get the plate information off of the driver's side door jamb when we hauled it to Oklahoma. Never the less, I asked my parents to read it and send me the information so I could provide it in this auction. They said the plate had been painted over, but the information appears to be as follows: Body 76A 5D6 28T 62 6 Vehicle 5S08C-773820 Ford If this doesn't fit or is wrong, please let me know and I will ask my Dad to put some paint remover on the door jamb plate, and try reading it again. 17. Three hubcaps are on the car. Three tires are flat. There are some various emblems and misc. parts in the glove compartment and trunk. 18. The interior is dirty due to years of being parked in a dusty garage, but may clean-up fairly well with some good chemical cleaner. As the photos show there are a few upholstery seams coming apart here & there. In other words, the interior upholstery may or may not be salvageable. 19. The mileage I have stated in this description is based on the odometer reading only. I have no idea how many miles are on the car. 20. The body appears to be very straight, with one small body ding/kink being located near the driver's side headlight. 21. It appears that all of the orginal pieces of the car are still with it, although I am not an expert on Mustangs. Bidding: 1. Only biders from within the USA or Canada will be accepted. If you are from outside the USA or CANADA please do not bid on the car. 2. There is no reserve price. 3. Please ask questions prior to bidding.
