Vehicle Detail
up for sale is a custom jeep wrangler tj with a powerhouse 4BT cummins diesel, this has been professionally done all work is superb it was made to look like it was meant to be in there from the factory! no botch job here or redneck engineering!! from the wiring harness to the battery cables to the engine mounts everything looks professional! but the best part is it is made to also be a daily driver! gets 28mpg with the 35" tires and 410 gears!! runs excellent, more power than needed but not too much to twist the frame in two, drives and handles great, the center of gravity is perfect, the engine was pushed back to allow for great handling. it is alot of fun to drive and turns heads every where you go............yes people stop me and say.................is that a diesel..........i didnt know jeep came with a diesel! The engine: it is a rebuilt engine, just installed for this project. the injection pump has been rebuilt and turned way up and produces alot of smoke at full throttle.it has 60 hp injectors and the turbo is off a 6bt (its bigger brother) which has been polished. the valve covers have been chromed to add more eye appeal under the hood. The transmission: it is a rebuilt new process nv4500 5spd manual. new clutch, pressure plate and bearing. custom neoprine mounts from advance adapters. The transfercase: is the factory np231 that has been rebuilt as well with a new input shaft to mate to the nv4500 trans and a slip yoke eliminator kit installed. the differentials are stock and hold up well to the new drivetrain, new spider gears were installed and new synthetic fluid in both front and rear. new brakes and wheel cylinders. hydroboost unit was installed to replace the vacuum brake booster. the exhaust is a custom built 3" system from turbo back with a flomaster muffler and a 3.5" chrome tip. the interior has had the carpet removed and has been sprayed with rhino liner bed liner so it is easy to clean and looks good too. the center console was replaced with a locking console and a locking trunk. the factory gauges were hooked back up for a non custom, factory look (no bulky after market gauges to clutter things up, theres not much cockpit room as there is and we wanted a factory looking build!) the body has a 2" lift to help keep the drivetrain tucked up inside the body. the tires are bf goodrich radial at's 315/75/17 which i had on another truck but the rims were bought new for this build. the jeep shows 150k miles but the whole custom build only has about 2000 miles on it. i contamplated not selling it but i have decided to do a diesel hummer next so this one must go. All in all it runs excellent drives excellent and can be used as a daily driver unlike alot of custom builds that clutter up the garage and can only be driven on sundays and arent practical to drive due to fuel consumption, this isnt that type of vehicle. its reliable, gets great fuel mileage and will last a long time. The top will need to be replaced it is worn. the body is in fair condition, someone didnt take to good of care of it probally used for off roading before i purchased it. i bought this jeep just for this build. so there are some bumps n bruises on the outside but the drivetrain is the real show piece. Serious bidders only.........there is a buy it now and will meet that or it will not be sold........you know what this type of project costs so someone will be getting a deal! Alot of people ask "how does it drive on the highway?" it drives perfect at highway speeds, as a matter of fact it handles better now than it did from the factory. You have to becareful or you can be doing 80mph without realizing it....... please dont waste my time with tire kickers..................and no joy rides!!!
