Up for bid is my 1979 Honda GL1000 Goldwing with only 17,383 actual miles. This bike was given to me by a friend who owed me some money. He had it in storage for 5 years with occasional starting. I have been riding it and it runs pretty well but not like it should so I am assuming it needs the carbs cleaned. My local bike shop charges $135.00 for the cleaning. I drained the old gas from the tank when I took it out of storage and replaced it with fresh. I replaced the battery last fall with a new one. The rear tire was new just prior to storage so it has less than 200 miles on it. The front tire is excellent. There is an exhaust leak on the right side muffler and there appears to be one starting on the left side muffler (very common with old Gold Wings). The seat is in fair condition, starting to weather check but all seams are intact with no holes. The pin striping on the right front side of the false tank is a little messed up because of what looks like a brake fluid spill. Other than that the paint and striping are in great condition with no dents or dings. This is a great bike for you antique Gold Wing collectors. Thanks for your intrest.
