1985 Honda Gold Wing

1985 Goldwing Aspencade GL1200A. This bike was purchased by my dad when he retired. He and a couple of buddies road a several trips around the United States and Canada, but then the bike sat idle. As you can tell from the mileage of ONLY 19,193, this bike should have many many more miles in it. Because the bike sat idle so long and my dad reached the age of 83, he gave the bike to me. I have put less than 1000 miles on it personally because I have another bike I ride regularly. I do not want the bike to remain idle and deteriorate, so I am selling it. It is runs good now. But it would probably run even better with a tune up, radiator flush... the normal maintenance items that need to be performed anyway. The title is clear. Because the bike has been sitting in my garage since 2007, it is untagged. However, I ride the bike around my nieghborhood periodically to keep the fluids flowing. The bike was dropped on right side while sitting still... (those legs of an 80 year old just don't have the strength they used to have). This caused a small scratch on cauling and a small dent to chrome underneath right saddlebag (both areas small and barely noticable... see pictures). Some of the Chrome, ie, crashbars have signs of "piting". Paint is original and in good condition. Radio works but casset player does not... I have not had it checked out but it may be easily fixed. Both tires were replaced less than 1000 miles ago and oil changed. I replaced the starter about two years ago and put in a new battery also at the same time. The windshield has been replaced with an oversized one... really helps with wind deflection. I also have a Owners Workshop Manual that details the entire bike a mechanically and how to work on it. Unfortunately, I am letting the bike sit in my garage idle just like my dad was doing. This is a rare find to locate a 1985 bike with only 19,193 miles on it. The bike needs an owner who will tweak the small things that need attention due to sitting in the garage and then enjoy the ride... I hope you can see the treasure.
