2001 Volkswagen Passat GLS 1.8T - in need of repair       approx 102,000 miles This vehicle was in excellent condition inside and out until it was involved in an accident of January this year. I have included pictures showing all of the visible damage. I have also put up pictures of the car one month PRIOR to the accident to show the condition of some parts of the vehicle that were unaffected. I was planning on selling the car prior to the accident but now I am taking a loss because the driver at fault didn't have insurance. Current Condition: The impact was towards the front driver side of the bumper. The bumper, bumper beam, radiator/support, a/c condenser, headlamps and intercooler were all damaged and need to be replaced. The front fenders and hood were not damaged in the accident. In the pictures the hood is not closed fully because the support underneath was damaged. The passenger airbag deployed during the accident. The engine and transmission are still in working condition. The car starts but shuts off because of the damage to the cooling system and intercooler. Prior to the accident the car was in great condition and I had just put in new belts, timing belt, brakes and rotors, water pump, spark plugs, transmission filter and a few other small items. The interior is in great condition and includes leather heated seats, sunroof and upgraded factory stereo system with cd player. This car would be ideal for someone who can fix cars. It is not worth buying this car if you intend to pay someone to fix it. If you need it as a parts car its also a great deal because the engine, transmission, all body panels and doors (except front bumper) and all interior components are in great condition. I would also be willing to sell the car for parts if any major components are needed. I am also selling this car locally and if I am given a reasonable offer I reserve the right to close the auction at any time.
