Vehicle Detail
Autobahn Auto (VADEALER #21348) Proudly presents this running and driving, 1967 200D. The engine starts on its first crank, yes you heard me right. The transmission shifts fine. It has a column shift. The new Interstate battery comes with the car. This Mercedes still needs to be trailered or towed. Here is why. The brakes don't work. When we first got the car (2 years ago) the drum brakes would lock up every-time you step on the pedal. We had the hardest time getting them to free up so the car would move. I loosened two of the brake lines at the master cylinder so that they would remain free, in case we had to move the car. She will need the brakes rebuild to take care of this problem. By the way, this 200D will start in the coldest of winters, I've tried it :-) The other problem is that the passenger window is off track, or needs a regulator. Not sure, but the window will go half down on its own. The driver side window won't roll down, it seems like it's cocked on something. There is a crack in the right rear tail light (photo) The engine runs great, just like it should and I can also tell you that the transmission works fine. I didn't take her on the road, but driving on our lot worked enough to shift the transmission. We've had this Mercedes on the lift once, there are NO rust holes. The body is very straight. We will NOT refuse a reasonable offer for this 200D, but it has to be reasonable. The reserve is not too high, yet I must tell you, we're not here to give the car away. There won't be any warranty, car is sold AS IS, WHERE IS. Please take a moment to look at our feedback. We have sold a lot of cars on ebay and have never received a single negative feedback, many buyers even came back and bought other cars from us later. We don't lie, or add sugar to our auctions and our customers appreciate us for being honest, fair and helpful. If you have less than 3 ebay feedback points, you need to contact me prior before placing bids. I will cancel bids of ebayers with less than 3 points, especially when the auctions nears its end. Happy bidding
