Autobahn Auto (VADEALER #21348) Proudly presents this 1985 380SL. This car was towed in by a customer two years ago. He purchased the car on ebay in a not running condition. Somebody had changed the timing chain and done a lot of work to the motor. The old parts are, or some of them, are still in the trunk. We found the fuel distributor faulty because the engine would start when throttle cleaner was sprayed into the intake. The customer, in the meant time, left the country and later send us the title. We never did install a new fuel distributor. The window regulator is missing on the driver side, the glass and other pieces, as well as the air filter, will come with the car. The SL has decent Michelin tires. The soft top is in ok condition, but the last time we looked was two years ago. The release handle is also missing, along with the push button control unit. The odometer shows only 088,K miles. We believe this is the correct mileage of the SL. There is no indication to assume otherwise The SL needs to be trailered or towed and there is no warranty of any kind. Sold as is, where is. Winning bidder is responsible for towing.
