Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is another one of my project cars. This 1996 E320, body type W210, also referred to as "bubble eye," needs some work to be finished. I purchased the car from one of my customers/friends. She had come out of a parking lot, not paying attention and got run into. The damage was enough to push the radiator back and cause the lower radiator hose to be cut by the belt. The front needed to be repaired, but my friend couldn't afford it. I replaced part of the radiator support and left frame horn. Installed a used bumper and grill. I repaired the left front fender and hood. The Benz runs and drives, but still needs to be trailered or towed. The reason being is, the battery is dead, no water in the radiator (not leaking) and some of the lighting is not finished. There is also a spare tire on the left rear, because the matching AMG had a blow out. I have the 4th AMG wheel and it will be included of course. As you can see in the photos, I started putting in newer tail lights. I have the pair for the right rear and it will be included. The car has scratches and dings all around. The reason I'm selling, I own a very busy Mercedes Benz shop in Hampton, Virginia. Within the last year and a half we have become more and more busier, and I am just glad when I get home in the evening. I just can't spend all my free time in the evenings and weekends, working on all these cars. I'm also an author and since the release of my debut novel "Torn From Normal," my publisher and my book, keep me very busy in addition to the shop. It may sound like a lame excuse, but really, 24 hours aren't enough time for me per day, if you know what I mean? I have some other spare parts for this E320, door panels, seats etc, even a rear bumper. I can't include them in the auction though. Possibly if the auction brings enough, it could be discussed when it nears the end. I will NOT refuse a reasonable offer.!!! But be reasonable as I paid a decent amount for this car as well. The Benz, as you probably already guessed it, is sold as is, where is and the winning bidder is responsible for pick up. I will assist as much as I can, of course. Take a look at my feedback. I've sold many cars through ebay and never once got a negative feedback. If you are a newby to ebay with no, or little feedback, you need to contact me prior before you bid. I mean I'll let you place bids, but if the auction is about to end and you are the high bidder with no feedback points? I will cancel your bid. I've lost too many auctions to spoof bidding, so please, contact me prior!!! --Martin
