I am proud to offer this rare 1971 Monte Carlo for sale. It is a documented car with 20,430 original miles (title states actual mileage, it is not "exempt"). This car has been in storage since 1973. It was removed from storage when the garage roof developed a leak. There is some slight water damage around the rear window (but it's not severe see pics). The undercarriage is solid. The car was undercoated when new. Major parts replaced are the battery, tires, water pump, and had the rear panel replaced professionally (due to some rust found around lower trunk gasket seal area). When I purchased this car it had 18,877 original miles. The seller's health forced the sale. He provided me with protect-o-plate and maintenance information along with a brief history of the car confirming the actual mileage. I saved the old water pump should someone decide to rebuild it. Garaged ever since. A quick look around this car and you are certain this is a low mileage beauty. I had my "local expert" look over the entire car and he said it is the most original he has ever seen. The car has the original engine, transmission, spiral shocks, date coded wires, stickers on the coil shocks, brass tag on the radiator, QC markings on the firewall, etc. It drives like a new one! This fine automobile has a few flaws but they are minor. The paint is mostly original. If you want a show car, it would require new paint. The interior is almost "like new" except for a few minor blemishes (like a clouded rear view mirror). The trunk has one small rust spot (about the size of a dime). The chrome is very good, but does have some slight pitting here and there. The clock does not work. There is one small "nickel-size" hole in the headliner. You might have noticed missing chrome strip on rear end of the car. I have this piece, it just needs to be installed. Options include: original AM-FM radio, remote driver side mirror, electric trunk, tilt wheel, air conditioning, and deluxe wheel covers (crossed flags). I have the original rims with new 235/75/15 white wall tires. If you have always wanted one to drive or are looking for the best car to restore, THIS IS THE ONE!
