Vehicle Detail

1975 Fiat 124 Spider Convertible 1800 Series, 5 Spd., 4 cyl., AM/FM/Cassette, new brakes on all 4 wheels, new gaskets and seals to stop leaks in the transmission and rear end, these items were installed this year. I bought this car in 2004 - it was one of those gotta have it ideas because it reminded me of my college days - Unfortunately, I am too tall and my feet are too wide for this car and cannot comfortably drive it. It appeared to be all original and in very good condition considering its age. Floors are solid - no rust, paint is descent but not perfect - chips and a few minor rust bubbles behind front wheels in fenders; however, inner fender & wheel wells are complete and intact no rust holes anywhere that I found. Car originally was maroon but a previous owner painted it Red - the top is in good condition no holes however interior side of top shows signs of dry rot but it still keeps the rain out when necessary (how many times will you drive this car with the top up - I never did except when I got caught in the rain once). The car runs smooth and is supprisingly quiet. Tires are 80% or better - car was tuned up when I first bought it and I've only put 220 miles on it since it was purchased. Car needs some TLC but most everything works - it apparently had A/C but it was removed before I bought it - it did come with a box of parts to put it back but I never ventured to do so - the windshield has a crack on the passenger side but it is not in the viewing area and will not prevent an inspection sticker. This is a good driver with less than 60,000 original miles on it - I had it garaged since I owned it and it appears the previous owners did too. This a nice, clean, unmolested, inexpensive, sexy Italian classic convertible with great MPG - you won't be unhappy with it - if you win it. I have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. I am motivated to sell and have placed a low reserve price on it. Good Luck - somebody is going to have a lot of fun and a great car for little money.
