Vehicle Detail

I did some horse trading with a friend of mine for this car. My friend purchased it from the owner who is also a friend of his so I do know a little history to this car. To start off this car is being sold as is where is, ask any and all questions before bidding, I have nothing to hide and all is straight foward and I took over 150 pictures so you can see everything for yourself. The car has a clear and open Colorado title. There is a small gouge in the bumper on the front passenger side. The front drivers door towards the front center has a very small dent. Back trim on the of the interior is slightly pulled out of the slot, not tucked in, top of the passenger door panel is showing a little wear, the top of the right front fender above the headlight has a small dent but the paint is not missing, crack in dash, speaker cofer on drivers door will fall off when you shut the door, the car seems to flood if you give it gas while starting it, just turn the key to start only, I dont know why. Other than that this car is in great shape with 68k original miles The gentleman who owned this car always kept it in the garage and this car comes with a life time of reciepts, books and catalogs. There is over 13k in reciepts or more. If you care to decipher them. On October of 1997 there is a bill of sale that shows 58,450 miles, on October 21st of 1997 there is a Colorado Inspection paper which shows the mileage at 58,509, then on 07-07-1998 there is reciepts for over $3,500 and on 01-16-04 there is reciepts for $4,800 with an engine rebuild. So since 1997 with the mileage being 58k and 68k now with a complete new engine there isn't many miles on all the over 11k spent on this car. The owner say's there is only 2k miles on the new engine and clutch, and he just hasn't driven it much at all in all these years. All the reciepts and the pictures of this car should show this car has been well maintainced and taken care of. Everything on the car works fine and the enterior is in great shape. There is zero rust on this car as the owner had said. I have looked this car over from top to bottom and found it to be a very solid car.At one point and time I know he had it sprayed with some coating on the under side and foam stuff to preserve the body. Please look all the reciepts over carefully as well as all the pictures of the car and please don't hesitate to ask any questions and feel free to call me with any other questions.303-513-1767 Mike. Don the owner did not want to part with this car but he has 3 girls at driving and college age and just needed the money, so my friend purchased the car which in turn I got through some serious horse trading. I wish I could provide you with more information but I am not really of much knowledge on these cars. Please call or email with any questions you may have and I will do my best to answer anything you would like to know before bidding. I have never seen a car this old with such great and thorough records as this one. There is a place here in Denver called Sports Car Craftsman Who are the only people in Denver who service and build these type of cars and only these cars, (see them on the web). Paul the owner knows this car and said the car is worth an easy 6k plus knowing it has a rebuilt engine with only 2k plus miles on it . My reserve is much less than that and very reasonable for the money that has been put into this car. Take care, have a great day and thanks for looking........................ On Aug-07-10 at 16:31:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I decided to remove the buy it now price and just let it take it's course. also this engine is not a new engine, what I meant by new was rebuilt which would be new I guess. On Aug-11-10 at 21:06:41 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that on May 19th 2010 the car had a Vehicle Inspection Report from the State of Colorado and everything passed great. I forgot to take a picture of this because it was with the title at the time, but this will be added to all the other papers that go along with this car.
