Vehicle Detail
Before jumping to the description I have posted a ton of pictures on my website at this address, http://www.landscapesupplyga.com/2006F350PICS.html Please view all the pics. I tried to take them at different times of the day and all different view points to show you how good this truck actually looks. I would be happy to take more if you can think of anything you would like a picture of. Up for sale is our 2006 Ford F-350 Lariat FX4 4X4 truck with the 6.0L Powerstroke Diesel. This truck has been with our family owned business since it was new. The owner of the business (My Mother) was the driver and drove it back and forth to work. It has 108,000 miles but I would venture to say that 90 percent of that is highway. We drove it off of the lot and have maintained its factory clean looks and performance. We are downsizing our operation and no longer need the truck, so instead of letting the truck sit we would like to give it a good home. It has not been abused, has only had light towing duties, and has not been out in the woods mud bogging (although I would not be mad if you bought it just to do that because the four wheel drive is great). This description is going to be long and very detailed. I like to let my buyers know everything that I do about my vehicles. The simple fact is this truck is about as close to new as you are going to find for this year model. I have yet to see another truck that can compare to the reliability, performance, and looks of this one. Drive train: The engine on this truck is the 6.0L Powerstroke Diesel. This engine has had several reputations, some good and some bad. I have worked on these diesels since they have been around and can tell you that the bad reputation is generally caused by poor maintenance, but not with this one. This truck was driven off of the lot then immediately there were a couple of preventative maintenance items purchased and installed. The first one was the purchase of an Oil Guard external secondary oil filter kit found here http://www.oilguard.com/eps-20-6l.html. If you visit their site you can see that this kit alone was over 550 dollars after tax and shipping. This is a very high quality kit that really helps preserve these engines. Clean oil is ESSENTIAL to a great running diesel, especially in these 6.0 diesels with their High Pressure Oil Pumps and tighter tolerances. The second thing done immediately was the purchase and installation of a coolant filter kit. This was purchased from http://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=324. This kit was 150 dollars after shipping and tax. If you read their site you can see that the coolant cleanliness is probably the second most important thing with these trucks. Casting sand and other contaminates naturally found in these engines can cause major problems in the future but were taken care of very soon on this engine (within 100 miles of new). If you read or research these trucks some will tell you to steer clear but I would tell you differently we have used these trucks with our business since their introduction and have had not major engine issues because of these preventative measures. This is a very well maintained truck and will last you as far as you want to drive if you continue to take care of it. The oil was always changed at 6000 miles even though you are supposed to be able to go twice as long with the Oil Guard kit. The fuel filters were changed with EVERY oil change. The Air filter was changed about every 20,000 miles. These are very great flowing high filtering air filters that came from the factory. The engine starts every time and runs superb. It is very powerful and fast for a large truck. It has had the ECU (Engine Control Unit) updates for the sticking injectors from Ford, which helped a lot. It runs around 30 pounds of boost under full load and pulls like a freight train with whatever you want to haul. I used to be in love with the 7.3L Power strokes until I started to drive this one and can see the beauty of this engine. The transmission shifts strong and firm and has had no problems what so ever. The fluid looks perfect and is not burnt or dirty. The four wheel drive unit on this truck is all automatic with the flip of a switch. It has automatic front locking hubs when switched to four wheel low. Everything works perfectly and the four wheel drive is engaged once a week to move the parts around and make sure everything works flawlessly. Some people do not do this and the less you use mechanical parts the more prone to breakage they are. No howling or noises come from this four wheel unit just shear dirt pulling power. Also to finish up this great drive train we have installed a set of Michelin LTX AT 2 tires. These are very smooth riding long lasting tires. They have excellent traction on and off road and have no problems in the mud or dirt especially with all six wheels turning. These are my favorite tires and I have put them on about every truck we have had. They last upwards of 90,000 miles when properly rotated and balanced. These are practically brand new and only have 300 miles on them right now. This was a 1500$ investment for six tires mounted and balanced. This truck is powerful and gets around 14.5 to 15.5 miles per gallon running 70 mph down the interstate. It is set up to tow and on the most recent towing trip I was averaging 12 mpg down the interstate with an 8500 lb trailer hooked up. With a similar trailer hooked up to my gas burning f150 I was averaging 7 mpg, so you can see where the savings can add up. As you can see there was no expense spared to take care of this drive train and you will be very satisfied with it. The Exterior: This truck is in awesome shape for a 2006. The paint is in real good shape. The two tone paint scheme looks very sharp and really stands out. The chrome bumpers are in great shape and very shiny. There is no rust or major issues with the body of this truck. The front hood has two little rock chips and the front bumper upper bezel under the grille of the truck has a few more as well as some bug stains. The grille is very shiny and clean. The headlights have no fogging and shine nice and bright. The front tow hooks are super strong and can be used to pull whoever and whatever out of the muck. The doors are great and seal up VERY well. The windows have had a vent visor installed to help with wind noise and when you want that fresh air while still using the A/C. The windshield and all glass is the factory original and everything is very clean with no cracks or scratches. The running boards are in great shape and support you very well to get in and out of the truck. The dually fender wells are made out of fiberglass and commonly get broken but these are in perfect shape. The bed has a nice rhino lining installed that is in great shape. We also had a hideaway Gooseneck hitch installed that lies completely flat when not in use and is a very cool item. It was 1,000 dollars for the parts and installation. The tailgate is in perfect working order and is not stiff or anything. The hinges were lubed about every 40,000 miles to keep them in proper working order. There is a lot of space in this bed for whatever you may want to haul. Also under the bumper a Reese heavy duty hitch was installed from the dealer to preserve the bumper and allow a higher towing capacity. It is compete with working trailer connections and all. Everything was cleaned and waxed on a regular basis to keep this truck looking and working great. The Interior: Everything inside is in great shape. There are no rips or tears in any of the leather. The seats are in great shape and were constantly wiped with leather cleaner and conditioner. The carpet is very clean and has been always covered by the factory floor mats. The truck has about every option you can think of besides the sun roof. It has Power sliding rear window, power pedals, dual power seats, dual power seat heaters, power windows, power door locks, heated mirrors, cruise control, stereo steering wheel controls, ICE cold A/C, steering wheel A/C controls, electronic trailer control (built in, it can find trailer faults and apply the trailer brakes proportionally to the truck brakes), auto lights, and electronic four wheel drive control. The rear seats are in excellent shape. Under the rear seat is a fold out metal cargo holder. It is very strong and can haul whatever you want. The seats fold up and out of the way and the metal cargo holder folds out. The seat backs can also fold down to access more storage behind the seat. This truck is very versatile and can haul a family plus whatever cargo you have to wherever you need to go. Overall the vehicle is immaculate. You will not be disappointed when you come to pick this truck up. It has been a great truck and has been kept up very well. There is a free and clear title in hand ready to be signed over to the buyer. No accidents and or issues to speak of. My name is Philip and you can call me anytime to ask any questions you may have about the truck. My number is 912-577-0485. Call, I am always happy to help. Also I have a couple of gooseneck trailers for sale one 26’ and one 36’, and a smaller 16’ flat bed regular trailer for sale that we can also work out a deal on if your interested. If you would like pictures or more information on these trailers contact me. These are not lightweight trailers but rather strong useable trailers. If you have something to haul these would be a perfect compliment to this strong truck.
