1967 HONDA CL160 SCRAMBLER Show/Collector/Investment Quality 517 Total ORIGINAL Miles Bodywork/Chrome: Flawless Tank and Leg Side Rubbers and the Tank Interior is Excellent. Correct, Original and Flawless Honda 160 Badges. Paint is Factory Original, No Re-Paint, One Slight Nick on Rear Fender at License Plate where Plate Rubbed (can not be seen as the Plate Covers the Nick). Front Fender is Flawless. SideCovers are Excellent, One has a Slight Dimple that Does Not Show in Pics. Tires Are Whitewalls for the Period. Wheel Chrome Shows Minor Pitting. Hubs are Excellent and Original Front Brake Rubber Boot is Perfect, Note Pictures. Fork Paint and Brightwork are Perfect with No Rock Chipping or Sand Nicking. Rubber Fork Leggings are Excellent. No Fork Leakage. Headlight Nacelle Chrome is Bad, it Appears that the Original Factory Chrome was Poor, see Pictures. Headlight Ear Paint is Perfect. Speedo Gauge is Excellent, No Fading. There is No Pitting on the Handlebar Chrome, Levers Still Retain their Factory Plastic Coating, Complete and Clear. Seat is Beautiful and Original (small surface scratch on top side of seat, not very noticeable). Pipes are Excellent (small dimple on heat shield, upper trailing edge, see pictures). Frame Paint is Excellent, Note Pictures of Center Stand and Area Around Air Filters. Tool Kit Cylinder is Excellent but Chrome End Shows Pitting. Tool Kit has Apparently Never Been Used. Mechanical: Starts on First Kick with Choke, Idles Properly. Very Smooth Running Engine, Carbs are Perfect and Engine Responds to Throttle Input as if New. Very Tight Engine, Break-In is Necessary. And Everything Works. Controls/Instruments Work Perfectly. Flawless Gauge (No Needle Bounce), Speedometer, Odometer, Lights (High and Low Beams), Horn, On/Off Headlight Switch, Gauge Lights, Brake Lights, Tail Light, blah blah blah. Mileage is Accurate. Once Warm the Engine has that New Engine Smell Reminicent of ‘60s Hondas. The Gearbox is Butter Smooth with that ‘60s Honda Click Between Gears. Tires are New Whitewalls. Brake Pads Show No Wear. Chain and Sprockets Show No Wear. Controls Work as they should, all Electrical works properly. Controls Work Very Smoothly, Cables are Perfect. DRIVES LIKE NEW! No leakage whatsoever. This bike is being sold as is, no warranty. Please keep in mind that it is over 40 years old! I find it difficult to believe that any Honda Collector would not LOVE this bike! I go nowhere on it that I don’t get ‘thumbs up’! Drop by your local Harley hang-out and prepare to hear ‘160’ stories. This is a bike that puts grins on other riders faces! My collection will have a huge hole in it with this bike gone. It is definately one of my favorites. It is a sweetie!
