Here is another vehicle from our used car "corral". We have a large quantity of used trades and many are one owner like this Saab 9-5 sedan. We will be listing all here on E-Bay, so keep checking back.
Calling all Saab lovers who are handy! This is a 2001 9-5 sedan in need of some cosmetic and mechanical attention. These sturdy Swedish luxury cars are beloved by their owners and have a loyal following. This one can be made right without too much effort.
The exterior is Silver and while it is clean, it has cosmetic issues. The front bumper is damaged and the paint is peeling, the left fog lamp and right fender splash shield are missing and there are various dings/dents on the hood, deck lid and sides. We did not detail this Saab. The Carfax does indicate a collision incident in February 2003. We do not know the extent of the loss or what may have been repaired.
The interior is Tan leather and in good overall condition. The power and heated seats move freely, power sunroof/windows and locks are all operational. The center console armrest is badly worn and cracked. There is a problem with the dash display and a/c air flow (see more info further down).
The powertrain is Saab's 2.3 16 valve fuel injected turbocharged 4 cylinder engine backed up by an automatic transaxle. The engine runs very well and the transaxle shifts smoothly through all the gears. No smoke or unusual noises from under the hood. We do not have service records for this 9-5.
The 4 radial tires are non matching. The brand and wear are as follows: RF Toyo 3/32", RR Nexon 5/32", LF Toyo 5/32" and LR Toyo 5/32". They are all mounted on the original factory alloy rims.
We had our Saab technician evaluate this 9-5 and present a report. He found the following; rear brake pads/rotors worn, LF wiper blade missing, brake lamp burned out, remote inoperable, radio/info center part dark, a/c air flow not working correctly and the L fog lamp/R splash shield missing. We authorized replacement of the rear brake pads/rotors, brake lamp bulb and missing wiper blade. The remaining problems will need to be addressed by the new owner. The problem with the climate control is with air flow. The cold air only exits from the under dash vents and cannot be directed to the dash outlets. The radio display/info center is partially dark and the text cannot be seen. There is only one remote and it is non working, we do not have a 2nd one to do a reprogram. The locks do work with the key, lock and unlock with no problem. The obvious body issues can either be repaired or left as they are, they do not effect the operation of the vehicle. We did perform a oil/filter change using the recommended semi-synthic blend and topped off all the fluids.
