Acura was one of the first car companies to introduce a "crossover" vehicle with the MDX. These vehicles combined the utility of an SUV with the comfort of an automobile. This is a nice example and remember...Acura is a division of Honda!
This is a 2002 MDX All Wheel Drive Touring with only 94,000 one owner miles. Finished in the most desirable of color combinations..Nighthawk Black Pearl Clearcoat on Ebony. The exterior is very clean, but as with older vehicles there are some scratches. Black is a very unforgiving color and is prone to showing every little flaw. There is a deep scratch on the left rear door, stone chips on the hood and a few more along the sides. They do not photograph well, but they are visible in person. There is a collision incident in the Carfax report in March 2005. We do not know the extent of the damages, but the repairs seem to have been done to a high quality standard.
The cabin is "wall to wall" Ebony leather. There are 3 rows of seating and all the leather is in excellent condition. Acura must use very durable hides combined with vinyl to allow these seats to look so good after over 90,000 miles of use. There is only minimal wear showing. Every comfort and convenience you could want is here and in operating condition. The factory navigation will help get you to those destinations, a DVD system will keep your rear seat passengers entertained and the Bose Audio system will impress you with it's clarity. The DVD audio system is an aftermarket unit and the head unit is located in the glove box. The installation was less then professional, the unit is not bolted down. The overhead monitor looks fine and is mounted solid.
Under the hood is Acura's 3.5 V6 engine. This is a low emission vehicle and Honda was ahead of the pack with these engines. It is backed up by an automatic transaxle. All four tires are Continental radials mounted on the original factory aluminum wheels. The tires are worn as follows; RF 8/32", RR 5/32", LR 8/32" and LF 8/32". All the wheels are excellent with no bad curb rash or peeling clearcoat.
We had our service department perform a safety check and service on this MDX and they found only minor issues. The tires needed rotation and the front stabilizer links were worn out. Our technician replaced the links, lubed the bushings and rotated the tires. In addition, he changed the oil/filter and topped off all the fluids as needed. The MDX was road tested and found to be quiet and solid.
We have all the owner's booklets, DVD operation manual and leather portfolio along with 2 keys with remote.
