Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a very nice 1987 HONDA® Rebel - 250 This bike has been in the family from the day it left the dealer. It was my Mom's first bike, and as many New riders do, she bought it because of it's size. The 250 HONDA® Rebel is the perfect size and weight for someone who wants to learn how to ride a motorcycle, but thats not all. The Rebel has plenty of smooth power to run down any highway and cruise with the big boys. Now a little History on this Motorcycle. When the HONDA® Rebel first came out in the mid-80's riders loved it's timeless cruiser looks with all it's chrome highlights, and why not? Going down the road it looked just like a classic Harley Davidson® Sportster. In fact, it looked to much like one, and Harley Davidson® filed a lawsuit. As part of the outcome HONDA® was forced to change future designs, and that is why the HONDA® Rebels of the 90's up to the current ones of today, just don't have the same classic look as this one. Okay, now that history lesson is over, let me give you the basics on this bike. Yes, it was my Mom's first bike, but after learning how to ride she moved up to a Harley Davidson® Fatboy. After that this one was only taken out a few times a year on short rides. Now, let me tell ya. My Mom and Dad are into riding, BIG-TIME! The reasons I got this bike was because I didn't have one, and my Dad wanted to make more room for the other 4 Motorcycles they have. This is a Great bike, but I am just to BIG for it. I'm 6'1" and 230lbs. and that is the only reason I'm selling it. Well, I guess their are 2 reasons, I want to buy a bigger bike for myself. It looks and runs great! because it has always been well taken care of. It has outstanding fuel economy and gets about 45-50 MPG. It also has very low miles, for it's year. I added a New Windshield ($189), Highway Bars ($175), and Battery ($66) all less than 200 miles ago.
