This car must be sold!!! No Reserve and Starting bid drastically reduced...... For sale is a 1968 Pontiac Tempest Custom Convertible. I am selling this for a friend whom I have known and trust for years. I am willing to put my 100% feedback on the line so bid with confidence. I have personally seen, heard, and ridden in this vehicle. As you will see in the pictures there is some work to be done but this could be one sweet ragtop when finished. If I had room it would be mine. Here are the details to the best of the owners description. I have validated everything that I will list below as factual. odometer reads 51,855 miles but they are not original 350 ci engine 3 speed automatic transmission that's not original but has been rebuilt with new torque convertor Rebuilt Carb After Market Oil, Amp, and Temp Gauge Cluster Front Nose, Windshield Trim, and Rear Bumper Chrome in great condition. I understand these pieces are rarely found in this condition. Replaced Radiator support Newer Drum Brakes 3 yr old battery with new cables Replaced Radiator Hoses Tune Up 14" Cragar SS Rims With BF Goodrich Tires Know Issues Front Tubular Frame behind front wheels will need some attention due to corrosion. Sections will most likely have to be removed and replaced. Fan Shroud Missing Rear Passenger Window Off Track Gas Gauge Doesn't Work Kick Down Cable Disconnected Cracked Windshield Top has rips. See pictures. Top will probably have to be replaced. As seen in the pictures the paint on the body has scratches. the picture that I took has the highest concentration of scratches the rest of the body not so bad. The convertible top is tears in the fabric and have pictures showing the two tears. The engine compartment cosmetically needs work but the motor is sound and no unwanted noises. I had him start it up again so I could be sure that there wasn't any unwanted noises. The interior is in pretty decent shape with the exception of what is listed above. The rear panel comes with the vehicle, it was removed in an attempt to put the rear window back on track. Just was never installed since the window is still off track.
