1969 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback,2 door wagon. This is the OLD LADY'S car you have always have heard about. It has been in storage for quite some time and has ONLY 16650 original mileages. That's right, it is all original with the exception of the red metallic paint and the tires. Carburetors (2) have been replaced with an Empi kit that are new. You'll never find such a perfect Squareback that needs so little attention...Just get in and enjoy the ride !! No restoration needed. The spare tire is the original and never used. There is a brand new set of firestone radials with an extra 5th tire included. The radio has been swaped out with a am/fm cassette. The original AM radio is in working condition and is also included. The body is SOLID with no rust anywhere. The floor pan is perfect, even in the battery compartment. The paint was re-done before I got it and is in great condition. Some very minor imperfections exist . The color is the same shade of red as original but has a very fine metallic content. Its striking!! The entire brake hydraulic system has been replaced, hoses,calipers, master cylinder, and wheel cylinders. The pads and shoes are new. Drums and rotors are like new. All accessories work like new All glass is is in great condition with no defects All chrome is near perfect and original. There is one very small dent in the rear bumper. All rubber is good with the exception of the engine lid seal and a new one is included. The Interior is as perfect as it could possibly be for 41 years old. Check out the pictures !!! The headliner is perfect. Carpets and interior panels are undamaged and all look like new. Engine was just completely tuned up including valve adjustment. The Empi Carbs were just syncronized and adjusted. Battery is newer and tests good. The charging system (12V) works great. This car runs and performs like new and you won't be disappointed in this purchase. I am a NAISE certified Journeyman VW Specialist with over 40 years experience. I have personally inspected this vehicle and find it to be the best example of an original I have ever seen. The car was an estate car and rarely driven and when the woman who owned it passed away her family stored it for years until I found it last year.
