For Sale : 1992 Chevrolet Silverado. I have owned this truck for a long time, so I will explain it here very accuratly so you know what your buying. First the GOOD: New 350 crate motor from Jasper I installed at 213,000 miles. Brand new Alternator. Rebuilt the front end about 500 miles ago. Newer rotors and brakes. The power windows/door locks work. All the turn signals/headlights/brake lights work but the 4 ways. It also has a working Meyers 7 1/2' Plow and a Buyers Salt Spreader.( the spreader needs a new motor). The last one I purchased was around 165.00. I parked this truck 2 years ago and now only use it to plow my driveway. Now the BAD: I start the truck a few times each summer and take it for a short romp to keep the fluids moving. Last year when I drove it, third gear let go in the transmission. Well,.... I have other plow trucks so the old girl has to find a new home. The truck still has 1st 2nd and reverse but just slips into neutral if you come out of second gear. I have another trans and transfer case that came out of a running truck that I will give you with this truck. The truck also needs a Master Cylinder (I have one for it and will send it with the truck.) You will also need new front calipers ($30.00 each) as the bleeders are froze in and they can't be bleed). The truck also needs a new muffler and tail pipe. The body is ok but the cab corners are GONE. (I have new one's that I will also send with the truck.) For all the negatives about the truck I don't think it's ready for the scrap yard. I just don't need to fix it so it sits in the yard rusting more because I'm not running it. 2 years ago this was my daily driver and I won't drive junk. If you think you would like to tackle the repairs it needs or buy it for parts or whatever, you should be happy any way you cut it.
