Mechanically it is 100% and runs extremely smooth and strong. It is not an original 390 car, so buy it for the fun of cruising in a very strong big block 4-speed convertible. Car was originally a blue, 289, automatic car. You could drive this car everyday and go anywhere with it in confidence. Please see the full description below:Car has the following options. - 390ci 330hp Big block from a 69’ Mustang, rebuilt -4 Speed top loader transmission, with 3:00 open rear -Rare Cast Iron Long Tube Headers -Power top, works great -Power Steering -Power Brakes -Nice condition Split bench Interior, seatbelts -Original Am radio, and new Sony AM/FM/CD player -New Edelbrock Intake, Carb, and Mallory Distributor -New custom Dual exhaust, sounds awesome -New American Racing Wheels -Brakes, Suspension all recently reconditioned -Original spare tire and jack, and boot top The engine starts with a flick of the key, idles at 700 rpm with no assistance, and runs super smooth and strong. This is the highlight of the car. It was rebuilt with a very mild cam, puts out 350 HP and tons of torque. The guy who put this engine together really knows what they he is doing. Has Ford factory long tube cast iron headers. I am told these are rare parts, and worth about $2,000 a pair. The car is very solid, with no rust areas top or bottom. The frame was undercoated, has never been patched, and has no rot anywhere. The floors are also very solid not one area of rot or perforation. The rear floor pans were replaced professionally. Trunk is rust free, lower rear quarters were replaced. The paint is about 12 years old and is weak. From 7 feet it looks great, but there are a number of areas where the paint has cracked, lifted, or is showing small chips. I have included close up pictures of these areas. Please don’t buy and then complain about the paint, if you have any questions please ask. It is a nice straight car, and with a repaint it would be outstanding, or just enjoy it like it is. Interior is very nice, New carpets and seat covers. Door panels are original and look great, dash also has no cracks. The top keeps the weather out but is aging. There is about a 2 inch tear on the left rear seam, see pictures. I only drive it with the top down in nice weather. The power top function perfectly. Driving this car with the 4 speed, power steering and power brakes is a pleasure. It goes straight and strong, trans shifts smoothly, brakes firm. I have taken numerous long drives and everything works as it should. You can drive this car with confidence anywhere and regularly. All maintenance items up to date. This Galaxie 500 is set up as a great driving car! Mechanically it is 100% and runs extremely smooth and strong. It is not an original 390 car, so buy it for the fun of cruising in a very strong big block 4-speed convertible. Car was originally a blue, 289, automatic car. The engine starts with a flick of the key, idles at 700 rpm with no assistance, and runs super smooth and strong. This is the highlight of the car. It was rebuilt with a very mild cam, puts out 350 HP and tons of torque. The guy who put this engine together really knows what they he is doing. Has Ford factory long tube cast iron headers. I am told these are rare parts, and worth about $2,000 a pair.

The car is very solid, with no rust areas top or bottom. The frame was undercoated, has never been patched, and has no rot anywhere. The floors are also very solid not one area of rot or perforation. The rear floor pans were replaced professionally. Trunk is rust free, lower rear quarters were replaced.

The paint is about 12 years old and is weak. From 7 feet it looks great, but there are a number of areas where the paint has cracked, lifted, or is showing small chips. I have included close up pictures of these areas. Please don’t buy and then complain about the paint, if you have any questions please ask. It is a nice straight car, and with a repaint it would be outstanding, or just enjoy it like it is.

Interior is very nice, New carpets and seat covers. Door panels are original and look great, dash also has no cracks. The top keeps the weather out but is aging. There is about a 2 inch tear on the left rear seam, see pictures. I only drive it with the top down in nice weather. The power top function perfectly.

Driving this car with the 4 speed, power steering and power brakes is a pleasure. It goes straight and strong, trans shifts smoothly, brakes firm. I have taken numerous long drives and everything works as it should. You can drive this car with confidence anywhere and regularly. All maintenance items up to date.
