Vehicle Detail
sniper68648 Store It is my understanding that this car was built in in 1961 or 62 in California and was also featured in Hot Rod Magazine around that time. The car was in New York for several years before ending up in Arizona, where I purchased it from in 2005. I spent two years completely rebuilding the car using the original paint and colors scheme from the 1960's. This car has been completely rewired. It also has a 1955 Chevy rear end with brand new Auborn possie unit and new Richmond 355 gears, mossier harden steel 17 spline axels double sealed with new breaks and wheel cylinders. A short modified grain truck drive shaft, new 350 h 3 speed automatic transmission and a new 350 crate motor. The motor has new dart racing heads , Comp cam, new Billit distributor with vacuum advance, new spark plugs and wires, timing gears, chrome oil pan, chrome starter, new 670 street advenger Holly carburetor, new polished alluminum intake, old Ford T front suspension chromed. All brass radiator, 14 gauged fire wall stainless steel. Motorcycle front disc brakes backed up with a willwood double master cylinder, stainless steel braided brake lines. Front wheels have new Bridgestone tires 100/90 - 18m/c 56h motorcycle rims and hubs. The rims and hubs were sent to California and are laced with twisted spokes. Rear wheels have new Cooper tires 15" P295/50 R 15 chrome spoked rear wheels. The dash is chrome wit 5 brass gauges. Steering column is nickle plated with brass built i tach. Steering system is engineered to work correctly and cruises down the interstate with no problems. The top is covered inside and out with leather. Interior is tucked and rolled all stitched with red accent buttons and trim. The stereo is a Pioneer XMCQ-C5 4014 with Sony Xplode speakers (Not Walmart brand) built in the roof. Front speakers are TR audio backed up with Sony Xplode amplifier XM-SD46X Stereo is tied into an IPod. The fuel system is a hand built 16 gallon stainless steel fuel tank with a Holly electric fuel pump. All wiring for the fuel tank and stereo are well hidden to give a cleaner look. It has functional blinkers and 4 ways. This is a Hot Rod and will shoot flames from the mufflers! I have driven this car to car shows for 2 years which took extra hours to clean but I did buy a trailer in 2009 whihc did make clean up alot easier. In the last three years this car was entered in multiple car shows and has receieved many awars including 3 Best Of Shows, several People's Choice awards, Best engine, Loudest pipes and numerous first place trophies in class. This little beauty even looks great at night by simply flipping two switches on the dash, she glows blue. It has 20 lights including a 12" light in the scoop. The cars runs and drives smooth. Weighs 2000 lbs and has gold etching in the windshields and mirrors. There are 6,442 miles and 247 hours on the motor. Odometor has never been reset. I've had enough fun with her so now it;s time to move on to can-am 3 wheeler. The car is street legal and has a clear Nebraska title. Much time, care and money were taken in making sure that this care was built correctly and runs right.
