Vehicle Detail
I purchased this vehicle from Build a Bandit, Pick a Pony April 2009. It was delivered to my house in July 2009. The first thing we noticed it didn't shift properly. Needed a new clutch, which Bob from Build a Bandit, Pick a Pony sent me a receipt for the clutch and $300 to have it installed. The next thing we find out the car had a BAD Transmission. It had a Galaxie 500 transmission, with all bad gears , shifter, and everything wrong you could imagine. At this point Bob didn't want to hear about it,. He already had my money so it was now my problem. So I suggest to anyone looking to buy a car from Build a Bandit, Pick a Pony DONT!!!!. The car sat until this spring, and I sent the Transmission to Dan Williams Top Loader Transmissions in Franklin N.C. He built the correct transmission for the car, correct shifter, new linkage ,driveshaft etc. Car ran great after transmission replaced. About a month ago coming from my mechanic to have new gauges installed I noticed it was making a noise. Brought it back to my mechanic and noticed the engine was shifted to one side. (You will see in pictures). Brought car to Morgan Frame Specialists in South Amboy N.J.. Found out that the car apparently had a big block engine before it was replaced with the 289. The Towers were cut and then welded back on once the 289 was put in. The cross member which should go all the way up the Towers was cut at the Base. Another great Job by Build a Bandit ,Pick a Pony. This caused the lower structure to weaken which caused the crossmember on the drivers side to break loose. So I am at the point where I am selling the car because the thrill is gone. This would be a great car for someone who knows cars and can put time in correcting this problem. Nick at Morgan Frame Specialists has the car . If you want to come look at it , call me and we will arrange it(917-545-6042). I am posting many puctures of the car, and starting the bidding at $4998.00. For some reason it won't allow me to show no reserve so I had to put reserve at $4999.00. I have a lot more money in the car, but my loss will be someones gain. I recently purchased new hood hinges and hardware which also go with the car. I may be forgetting something but have tried to be as specific as possible. If any one else has had problems with Build a Bandit, Pick a Pony, let me know . I would be reluctant to think I was the only one. This is a GT 350 Tribute, with a 289 block and 302 heads. It has headers, new exhaust, new interior, Hurst shifter, new after market gauges, new carpet, new headliner, AM/FM/ CD player with remote, Stage 2 paint job, which has some flaws but looks good from 5 feet away, has an original GT 350 hood, Manual steering, Manual brakes, all glass is excellent, all chrome is excellent, the engine has about 500-600 miles since rebuild, Tranny probably has about 200 miles since rebuild, new tires and after market american racing rims in excellent condition, and custom car cover. If anyone needs more pictures just send me your e-mail and I will send them out. Good luck bidding, and thanks for looking at my listing.
