Vehicle Detail
Here is a 1966 4 door, automatic Corvair. The body is in pretty good condition. There has been some work done to it in the past. The mileage on ODO is around 50K but this probably is wrong. I put 100K as a guess. The front floors were replaced with new ones. The rear floors were fine & were treated top & bottom with Eastwood Rustproofing (like POR15). The trunk is in good shape. Some of the supports on the underside were reinforced & also treated with Eastwood. The rockers are very solid. The glass is fine. The rear bumper is solid, just chrome fading. Front bumper was dented. It is missing the rear grill. It has 4 NEW tires and some neat ralley wheels from the 70's. New muffler & trunk seal. The rear seats are from a Saturn and are not attached & look great. I know nothing about the front seats, they are not attached. No radio. The horn, lights, wipers & signals are working. New terminals were added to some circuits. The brakes are OK but may need a little work. A couple of the wheel cylinders were replaced. Comes with 4-13" steel wheels and some old wheel covers. Still has a single master cylinder. There are also 2 new carbs purchased from Wolf Enterprise for $239.00. New battery. Will need some work on the heating ducts & probably need new shocks soon. The front cross member, in my opinion would eventually need replacing. It still seems OK but there are some signs of advaced rust. It was running last fall & needed the carbs syncronized, but when it was parked the transmission developed a bad leak through the winter where it would leak out the fluid. The leak appears to be an O ring at the throttle cable entry. I will pick one up and replace. The vehicle will need to be trailered probably. It looks OK but a paint job would make it look great. Please ask questions. Thanks Bob I can deduct $350.00 from the price if I remove the carbs and the wheels and tires (It will come with 13" rims and old tires).
