Vehicle Detail
This is a 1967 Firebird 400 Convertible that was undergoing a frame off rebuild with some extras. The car came factory equip with power windows, power top, A/C, 4 speed, and it's been a Californian car. I decided to build a 67 firebird that would perform and handle like a late model corvette. So I started from the ground up on the rebuild. Most of the work was done at my shop that I owned and once I sold the business I moved the car to my home to be completed. Needless to say I have not found the time to work on it and after sitting untouched for the last 4 years I decided it was time for it to find a new home. Here are some of the extras:1) Wayne Due Subframe with C4 Corvette suspension. QA1 adjustable shocks, 4 wheel disc brakes, Posi-traction independent rear suspension, power rack and pinion steering.2) Rebuilt 400 long block, stroked to 467, JE pistons, Eagle Stroker Kit, roller rockers, comp cam, ARP bolts, many other goodies, estimated HP: 500+hp, 500+ ft/lbs of torque.3) Corvette C5 seats with electric controls.4) Paint is Raspberry Pearl from the House of Colors. There are some small chips and scratches from storage(got kids).I have probably 95% of the parts stashed in my garage to complete the car, things missing are transmission(I was going to use a tko 5 speed), steering wheel and column(was going for tilt steering column), new top and interior.I am hoping this car finds a good new home, would love to see it again when completed, unfortunately I am unable to spend the time or money to see it thru. I hate to say how much I have invested in the bird so far, lets just say that whom ever purchases this project will be off to a good start and money ahead. The reserve will probably be met fairly easily, if its not, I didn't do a very good job in describing it. The car is being sold as is, where is....I will try to help anyway I can with transportation you arrange for, if you need it shipped. A $500 non refundable deposit is required 24hrs from the end of auction. If you have any questions please email me and I will be happy to answer them to the best of my ability. On Jul-29-10 at 18:18:03 PDT, seller added the following information: After many emails about buy it now, I decided I am not going to have a buy it now, and I can not remove the reserve price but I am changing it so that the next bidder will remove the reserve, the car will be sold to the highest bidder. Also, many want to know how much I put into the car....the car cost me $6000, suspension about $6000, motor $7000, C5 seats $1000, paint and body work $4000 cash plus 50 hours of my time in trade. I'm giving this information for those who are out of my area and can not see the car themselves; so that they can get a good idea of the value of the car. On Aug-02-10 at 16:29:30 PDT, seller added the following information: After digging thru all the boxes of parts to the firebird, it looks like I have about 80% of the parts, some parts work, some may not, and some are not pretty enough to go back on. I can easily see spending $5000 or more in new parts for the bird to complete, here is a list of some of the major stuff needed:1) Transmission2) Interior carpet and door panels3) Radiator4) Brake master and booster5) Tires and Rims (old rims are 14", need 17" to work with c4 brake system)6) Wiring Harness (old one was cracked and needed to be updated for power seats ect...)7) Steering column and coupler. So to avoid any confusion on what is there and what is missing; I am revising the auction to be just the firebird seen in the pictures and the winner will have the option of receiving all of the firebird parts, manuals, and anything else related to the firebird in my garage that would help them complete the project for free. This way no one should be upset or angry that I didn't mention that something was missing, broken or too ugly to be used. So nobody should feel that I have deceived them in anyway. I will consider all bids received after this update to be informed of this revision. Please bid accordingly, and thank you for your interest.
