This CJ starts, drives and runs great. Motor has no know defects, transmission shifts normally. There are several things I wanted to work on but never got to; The radio and most of the dash gauges/controls aren’t hooked up, they were on my ‘to do list’. I bought it without a transfer case and intended to stick one in it, just never picked one up. It drives great as a two-wheel drive vehicle and installing a Dana 300 wouldn’t be too hard. I had the dual exhaust installed by a local muffler shop ($390) this spring. Lights and blinkers all work perfectly. The mileage is not exact since I haven't plugged the odometer in to the tranny, but it has a newer fiberglass tub and newer motor anyway. No leaks or drips. No exhaust smoke. He’s busy with sports and I seem to work too much. I still drive it around town a couple nights each week because I like it. This will make a good daily driver as is or an easy project to finish if you need 4WD. I wouldn’t be afraid to drive this CJ anywhere as is.
