Vehicle Detail
Another excellent Boss 429 restored by the guys at Kevins Klassic Cars. I have owned many Boss 429s but this is the first black one that I have owned. Just like all the cars that we turn out this is an extremely nice restoration and is restored to MCA concours correct specs. The paint on this car is extremely nice as you can see from the pictures the gaps on the body panels fit very well. This car was painted with acrylic enamel and cut and buffed. It has some light orange peel in it so that it will get all the points at a judged meet but still looks extremely nice. This car was sold in La Mesa California from Drew Ford to a J Sartain who lived in San Diego Cal. This car was virtually rust free and we have restoration pictures all during the process. This car has all original sheet metal including the quarters, floorboards, doors and so on. The top of the shock tower area had some rust on there which was cut out and replaced other then that the body of the car was awesome. The interior of the car retains many of the original parts and looks excellent. It still has the original carpet how many 40 year old cars do you see with that. Although the front seats have been recovered the rear seat cover is still original and in excellent condition. The rim blow steering wheel is original, the center console the seat belts and on and on are original. All the glass is the original Carlite correctly dated glass. The glass is not perfect but very nice for 40 year old glass how many times do you see the original glass in a car? The tranny is correct and original to the car with the correct vin stamped on the upper ear on the drivers side. I have pictures of the date in the engine it is 9C10 which is March,10 1969 which is correct for this car, this car was built April 30th, 1969. The back of the block is correct and you can see the vin in the pictures. This car not only has all the correct and dated main components, the engine, the tranny, and the rear end but it also has all parts that are dated and correct. There are so many parts that it is impossible to put them all on here. But all the items such as hoses, radiator, carb, leaf springs, heads, intake, fan blade, and on and on are correct and dated or numbered correct. This car is KK# 1750 and it is Raven Black and there were only 93 Raven Black Boss 9s made. And there were only 6 Boss 9s that were sold in the LA district. This car comes with a lot of paper work that was collected over the years plus several very important pieces that came with the car originally. This car still has the original owners card (protecto plate) which I have in the pictures and it is in excellent condition. I also have the original build sheet also shown in the pictures which is in excellent condition. It also comes with the elite Marti report which has the window sticker and the Kevin Marti report. Also it has pictures of the car during restoration, after it was media blasted and so on. We have several hundred pictures of all different stages through and after the restoration. The title or registration I have for the car is from the mid seventies. Whenever I have an old title I dont transfer it over because that is part of the history of the car and you dont see titles that old very often. The guy I bought the car from had owned it since the mid seventies and this is the title he got with the car. When we sell a car we will guarantee that the car will get a concours trailered gold through the MCA or you can bring it back and we will correct the items to get it to that point. That doesnt mean we will get you a 100% of the points because that is near impossible it does mean we will get you enough points for the award. It will get a gold as it is now but this is just a guarantee above a beyond that so the new buyer will feel comfortable. I will consider some partial trades for the car. I cant take full trades I need the money to run my shop. I would prefer Mustangs as a trade but I will consider other cars. Our shop specializes in Boss 429s and Boss 302s and they are a very good product to sell please dont call me with cars that are hard to sell or ask too high of a price. For a black Boss 9 in this condition this car is actually priced below the market value. If the car is sold in the continental USA or Canada I will personally deliver the car in an enclosed trailer for free to the new owner. Our goal is to make every owner of one of our cars happy. Sometimes because of time and distance it is hard to get the car back to us. We will ship parts out to make someone happy but then you would be responsible to pay someone to put it on. Thanks for looking at my auction and good luck on the bidding. Kevin Manley. 612-275-8722 kevinmanley2005@yahoo.com
