Vehicle Detail
Selling a vintage 1958 Dodge Coronet 2 door (full size sedan), swept wing w/ the straight 6 engine. Current NADA for this vehicle as-is ranges between $7,000-$13,000 at current market value. Here's a brief history of the 58' Coronet: first Cornet to have the quad headlight system, 1 of a very limited number to come with the manual 3 on-the-tree, 3.73:1 rear axle, straight 6 L-head engine (3.8L) with room to swap to the 361 V8 (stock 333hp), has 2 sister vehicles in production (the 1958 Royal Lancer and DeSoto), built on a DeSoto Chassis, came stock with an Torsion-Aire Ride suspension, and for a bit of fun trivia, Richard Petty won a few races with these cars on the old dirt tracks. Recently, a restored 58' Coronet D500 (convertible) sold for $175,000 to Worldwide Inc.; suggesting a high demand in the restored series auctions. Likewise, under a recent google search of 58'-59' Coronets are being privately sold for $14,000 in the same condition as the one being sold here. Interior Condition: dashboard is in great condition with no missing parts, seats need to be re-upholstered, headliner has seen better days (poissibly replace), windows are intact but gears could use some oil, rust in obvious spots on the fenders and floor pans (typical for Dodges of that year) requiring replacement, and structurally sound. Exterior Condition: overall structure is sound, white body w/ red swept wings, have all chrome (whats not on the car is in the trunk), one headlight is broken, two taillights broken but have extras, could use a new paint job, needs body work in places, all pieces of the car are there, frame is straight, last ran 1 year ago, and suggest a full restoration to maximize market value. Again, I am selling a vintage 1958 Dodge Coronet Swept Wing with a 3 speed manual transmission. Vehicle comes with the 3.8L L-head 6 cylinder engine, no title (have original owners information from DMV; which will help with title), all chrome, and parts making this a complete vintage swept wing Coronet.
