Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 Selling my 91 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4, its a great car and I'm only selling because its more of a toy and I dont need it right now. With that said I've spent countless hours bringing this car back to what I would call great condition. Its got some work that needs to be done and its not perfect by any means so if you're looking for a perfect car please move on. This car was purchased from Texas and is rust free, to my knowledge its never seen a winter in its life, in my years of owning it I stored it during the winter. So what have I done to it, upon receiving the car it was missing various pieces and and was painted primer gray in anticipation for a new red paint job. Well I am not a big fan of the pop up head lights and I did a full 2G conversion, to be exact its a 94 conversion because it has the highly sought after glass headlights. After that I changed the side skirts and rear bumper, and front bumper as well. I have the side skirts and rear bumper if you'd like to change it back. After that I finished all the body work and painted the entire car flat black. Its a primer coat and had seen the road and thus it should be resprayed before being painted over. However all the major spots were fixed first, the rear antenna was shaved and covered as was the rear wiper for a more clean look. It has been painted and needs some clean up and sanding. Overall it looks good from a far but up close there are some runs and needs some work. The car has had a full 120k mile service with receipts, which includes water pump, oil pump, timing belt and the crank pulley was replaced with a lightweight pulley to avoid the dreaded cracking of the stock rubber pulley. This car is mechanically sound, it runs smooth and shifts well into all gears, it has a few modifications which I'll tell you about as well as list. They are a stage II clutch and light weight flywheel, prosport oil pressure, water temp, and boost gauge installed in the center console for a clean look.. Also has EGR block off plate and the vac reduction done. Has NGK spark plug wires and the lightweight crank pulley that was mentioned. Also has an aftermarket steering wheel, and a straight 3 inch single shot exhaust. The ECU has also been rebuilt so no worries about the common leaky caps with first gen VR4s. The good: 12xk miles on the car engine has 40k Full body conversion 94 with 99 CF Combat wing will go with the car if it goes above $5000 JDM Engine with 120k complete with receipt Gauges Oil temp, Oil pressure and Boost New Clutch with lightweight flywheel Light weight crank pulley Full working AC and Heat Aftermarket steering wheel Shaved antenna Shaved rear wiper Vac reduction done EGR Blocked off Good tires The bad: Door panels aren't the best rear panels could use some work Little chip outta the tint on DS rear bumper could use some sanding. The car has been in an accident, but has been repaired The car is deemed "in excess of mechanical limits" and thus the title reflects that, its clear outside of that and its a thing because it was from Texas. Please contact me if you need more details on this. The autocheck reads that the car has been salvaged, however I have a carfax that say its never been salvaged. It is my guess (because the title I have is clear) as was the previous one, that it was sold at auction at some point. For whatever reason it was sold at auction it appears to be fine now. There is no frame damage, car runs well engine has been well kept and replaced, body panels have been replaced. I'm not positive on this story its merely a guess based on what I do know. The most important thing I do know, is that the title I have is CLEAR. I'm only really selling it because its a toy. I'm in no position where I need to sell, its one of several of my cars so if I dont get what I want it wont go anywhere. There is some work needed in this car but I think my price is fair given the work done to the car. The paint should be addressed but unlike most cars out there this one has the major maintenance work already done and wont cost you money up front. The paint has been fine and if it doesnt bother you its easy to drive around on without looking awful. With most of these cars paint is faded by now anyway but in this case its just much more obvious. The good thing about this car is you wont have to dump $1000+ dollars into the 120k mile service like most cars of this age. If you have any questions please ask. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally. Thanks for looking. On Jul-14-10 at 06:01:10 PDT, seller added the following information: THE CAR HAS BEEN PAINTED RED!!! To clear up an confusion in the listing, the car was flat black and it was a primer coat, however since then there has been a finished coat and clear coat put on the car. Please see the pictures, the car is clearly red. Furthermore the title, is CLEAR as for why it comes up salvaged on eBays autocheck, I cant tell you why. I can only tell you that I have a clear title in my hands.
