The car has no dents or collision damage since new.All the original body panels are still on the car..floors infront of the front seats were removed and a aluminum tunnel was fabricated to allow access to the transmission. All the body panels are very straight and original to the car,.Original hidden vin still intact. Please see picture of heater blower location: The factory hidden vin is exposed with the blower removed. It matches the dash plaque and cowl tag and the title .All numbers matching. Also the wiper door hidden vin matches the data plate. Title is Documented: Checkered Flag History: The car was sold new by the dealer in June,or August 1969. Evidense of the rear valance panel shows signs of the selling dealers logo just left of the rear Z28 emblem. It was owned and cared for until the original factory warranty expired. Due to a faulty head gasket, It started leaking water into motor oil in late 1973. Original owner on recored is Nancy Maxwell of Colfax Iawa. With only 17,473k actual miles she parked the car and then sold it to Joe Hermann of Colfax Ia in June 19th 1975. Joe turned the car into a 1/4 mile race car..Since 1973 the car was never driven on the street again. In 1975 Joe titled the car in his name. The last known registration is still attached to the center of the front window,.See photo of 1973 vehicle registration still attached by original owner. The car has seen very few 1/4 mile runs since then..It had sat in dry storage in Desmoines Ia untill five years ago or January 18th 2005.I Steve Dimercurio of Pacific Grove california was next in line to purchased the car. With hi hopes, I was set to campain it again. Durring this time, the value of these cars began to sky rocket into the 100k range. Extreme value from TV auctions rallied prices to world high records. The thought of a showroom crossram Z28 restoration was set in the back of my mind.Four years ago, I removed the complete front end and had it repainted to freshen it up.At that same time ,I had the original engine block refurbished and I was on track to finish the rest of the car. I got married and things had to stop. This is why you see the two color variations,I purchased a lot of new parts at that time, and none of them were used.I have included them with the deal.I had a new baby last year and my available time and resources have taken a shift for me.Passing the car on is the best case for me at this time... The car has original paint in both inner doors and jams and rear decklid and trunk,Please see pictures of the inside of both doors..Super clean Cortez Silver original paint-Paint Code 69.Original Body is Coded as X-33 and D-80,or 69-Z28 with bright trim and rear spoiler from the factory . The interior front seats are still in the car in black standard interior. Car originally had a center console ,evidence of retainer cages that holds the console are still present. The console factory gage package and dash tachometer was a very nice look. This car had only 17,437.9 k act miles when car was taken off the road.Super low actual miles. Please see original speedometer photo. I am offering the winner a chance to build his dream car Z .The 69 Z28 are becoming the most sought after camaros these days..Norwood built camaros are the most interesting to collectors because they are factory documented on the cowl tag. This secures the age old question ! Is it a real Z? Yes with confidence, You got the real deal here. Car drive awsome.Pulls hard to 8500 and with four speed and 488 rear gears, she can pull the front end off the ground....need brake cylinders, started leaking from sitting.. Selling Vehicle As is ,,Interior door panels, endura front bumper, front and rear window trim, engine fan and rear tail lights were stolen while in storage.Since then, i removed the intake to keep it from harms way.At this time ,car does not run.Needs battery, and fan to run.
