1996 Volvo 960 Wagon, nice solid and safe car with very low miles for year model, much of service history, a good wagon for a great price. Leather interior is nice, no holes, rips, tears or hardened, carpets are not stained or worn through, no bad smells, in regular use until mid June, all in all a very presentable car. There are a few scratches and surface defects here and there that would be expected for a car of this age but no rust, big dents or broken bits, it is well cared for but not a new car. The entire car passed inspection before a trip from Naples to Chattanooga, TN this Spring, it's ready for daily use, new tires were installed before the trip as well. A/C blows cold, windows, locks, seatbelts, glovebox, console latches and so forth work. Two keys and remote. Not sure if the seats are heated and if they work if they are, I think they are on a thermostat on this model and probably haven't been used much in Naples.. This car has been owned by the same family since new, first by an elderly couple and then by their daughter. The daughter is recently deceased but the rest of the family all live some distance from SW Florida and don't need another vehicle. This is NOT some shady auction vehicle you'd find at a used car lot, a 'fixer-upper' someone's gotten tired of working on or a high-mile trade in on the back side of a new car dealership all tarted up with some Armorall and a wax job... If not for the hand of fate this car would not be for sale, you will be hard pressed to find another 960 with this few miles, owner history and overall condition, don't miss this one. This auction is for a used car and no warranties are expressed or implied with the exception of clear Florida title. 7/11 UPDATE: More pictures added and I've noticed a few things that I need to mention. The 'service' light comes on for a while after starting, then it goes out. The 'check engine' light which seems to go on and off, just drove to Starbucks for an internet connection to update the auction and it's on. Some body damage I wasn't aware of, it looks like something has gotten against the right rear door scuffing the trim strip and pushing the panel in a little. It doesn't really show in pictures but you can see it in person. There is a more noticable dent in the lower part of the left rear door. See pics. A few light dings, two on the top, maybe from a limb falling, and one on the right front fender, looks like a bike may have fallen against it. A few more behind the left front turn signal, maybe door dings. These don't really show well in pictures either but you can see them in person. The front left and right rear bumper show evidence of bumping something, paint is scuffed. There is a similar scuff on the back of the left rear wheel arch and at the top of the plastic bumper behind it. See pics. A receipt for diagnosis of a 'check engine' light, "Code P0410, Secondary Air Pulse System (safe to drive)" This might be what causes the CEL to come and go... The service records from new until 2000 have been mislaid but may come to light, we have records from 2/2000-4/10 and books/manual in glovebox.
