Probably the nicest Big Healey project you will ever find! Exceptionally complete (please see photos), very rust-free, easy restoration. I am just the third owner. Here is the history, as I have been told: The car was originally purchased in Birmingham in 1958 by someone unknown to me. In 1960 the car was traded in and purchased by a NASA engineer in Huntsville. He changed the Healey from its original white to British Racing Green. He drove the car until 1988, then pulled the engine and had it sent out for rebuild. He reassembled the car and drove it for a short period of time when he became ill with heart difficulties. He, unfortunately, died from his ailments around 1990 or '91. His son parked the running car in his barn on blocks. He removed the wheels, interior, and all of the chrome, and placed those items inside. He had the seats recovered (in leather) and began to strip the paint with the intention of restoring the car. He didn't get much further than that and sold the car to me in 2000. I rebuilt the carbs, put on a new fuel pump, changed the oil and battery and started the car. It ran great!!!! I mean, the car had not run in 10 yrs, but it started right up and literally ran FLAWLESSLY!!! The car has the following: Factory hard top Original side curtains Folding top bow Soft top-to-windscreen bow and latches New (black) Moss Motors full carpet kit (still in box -- no pics) 4 speed (no OD) Tonneau cover Much, much more! Please look at all of the pictures -- everything pictured is included. As far as I can tell, EVERY THING is there; all of the chrome, hub caps, badges, trim, grille, bumpers, seat frames, fender piping, air cleaners, etc, etc. I also had the wheels professionally stripped, refinished, and new tires mounted and balanced on them. Only two small rust spots. I have tried to take close pics of these. One is in the trunk, on the lower, left side. The other is inside by the passenger's right foot. Again, please look at the pics. This will sound cliche, but in this case it happens to be very true; I really, really don't want to sell this car. I will miss it terribly and horribly regret that I didn't restore and keep it. But, unfortunately, I have lost my job and badly need the income. I really hope this car to go to a good home!! I could go on and on, but I won't do that to you: if you have any questions after you look at the the pics, just let me know and I will respond quickly. (Also, you can research the serial number and learn a lot about the car.) I will provide a bill of sale with the purchase -- Alabama is a non-title state for vehicles built prior to 1975. Okay, now for the boring stuff that will make me sound like a cranky old guy: this is a re-list due to multiple cases of, so-called, bidder's flakiness. PLEASE, PLEASE, do not bid if you don't actually have any money, have no idea how to have the car shipped, don't have your wife/husband's permission, plan to be abducted by aliens before payment is complete, live in Zimbabwe and need special help from your cousin in Customs, etc., etc, etc. This process is time-consuming and expensive, so PLEASE do not waste my time or yours. If your bid even looks vaguely suspicious, I WILL cancel it in a heartbeat this time. Please read and understand ALL of the terms of the auction, including timeframe for deposit, full payment, etc.
