:Welcome to my auction for my 1971 Chevrolet Camaro RSZ28 In very fine condition; :::::::::::::::::::::::::::;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;:::::DETAILs & HISTORY INFORMATION:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :I am pleased to offer with no reserve my 1971 Camaro RallySport Z/28. I purchased the car 20 years ago and have loved and enjoyed the car. Over the years i spent all my available time and most of my avalable resources to restore and maintain the original appearance and mechanical components to a very high standard, I had hopes of winning the very best of show but i never entered the car.It went through a comprehensive frame off rotisserie restoration. The complete drivetrain was renewed, the rear axle assembly was updated with the 12 bolt series complete rear axle assembly ,and a complete restoration on the Turbo hydromatic M-40 transmission,and a then, a complete comprehensive engine overhaul, making 360hp on pump gas with the original gm 30-30 solid lift mechanical camshaft.The original rods and 1182 crankshaft were reconditioned and reinstalled in 8 New 30.0 over TRW Pistons fitted into a fresh machined block.The heads are 1970Z28 with massive 202 valves and then topped with the original aluminum winters foundry intake and factory finned aluminum valve covers ,Original dual snorkal air cleaner and all other components are in excellent conditon. Suspension and Body:New upper and lower ball joints installed and control arm bushings.The car had New rockers panels and frame rails and 1/4 panels installed ,has rear factory sway bar and herb adams front sway bar installed for performance driving and enjoyment,massive 1.25 inches in diameter.All delco remy shocks,original springs,and Goodyear polyglass tires sitting on original 1970 Z28 rims. Interior: Front seats have begun to separate at the lower seems and have to be replaced. RARE: for the year 1971, only about 2 thousand Z28s were produced, making it a rare product even for that time period. Also introduced was the high back bucket seats with integrated head restraint. The compression ratio from the factory was offered at 9.5 to 1. Perfect for todays pump gas ,drivability and performance and power.No AIR or smog equipment required in California for this 350-solid lifter -automactic combination since new. RallySport option includes :the unique front end. Check out the pictures. The endura sport factory urethane center is a bumper with two chrome small bumperetts on the edge of the front fenders. Posibly the best look for the second generation camaros of all time. Since the restoration, only 1500 miles have been put on the car in 20 years. At this point in time the car looks like an original survivor,but its been 100% restored.Please see pictures of the under carrage and the engine bay . Some people say that the second gen camaros are the best of the decade .I enjoyed the look of the car with its body lines and the sound of the LT-1 motor , connected to an auto transmission was easy to enjoy and drive,all with much pride of ownership to this day. During the last 20 years i had stored the car inside untill last summer. I had to make space in the garage for another car,Selling the car because my wife wants me too. This is the best thing for me to do. My 1 year old son needs a few more creature comforts at this time. If car reaches 22k i will include an aditional new old stock 350-LT-1 short block still in the GM crate.11 to1 standard TRWs,pink rods,1182 crank,30-30 solid lift cam,plastic timing gear, all in the original rapper and crate. Things you wouldn't see unless you were to preview the car. Small chip next to roof rail molding over drivers head.Please refer to picture. Small rust spot in same area on both sides, .Small rust oxidation in the trunk floor under matt,Mild rust oxidation on the complete factory Z28 exhaust system and fuel tank,8 track am-fm radio not hooked up to speakers in rear package shelf.Wipers and heater not connected to prevent from driving in the rain..Rare tilt steering column with new locking key set and and ignition switch.Very comfortable to adjust into the perfect driving position. Original U gate or horse shoe factory shifter is easy to operate and a pleasure to drive and shift manually or in automatic mode. Factory console in excellent condition with clean factory pebble grain. In the engine bay,little items like the factory deep gruve pullys are present and yields evidence of the cars originality and many of the original parts still accounted for. The alternator is a high performance exact copy with its deep gruve pully and correct part number.Original exterior door handel are still on the car and in very good shape with very little pitting..Original front left and right Delco remy front brake caliper and the rotors are still on the car. NEW PARTS LIST: Holley replacement 750 Carburator,Complete LT-1 spec engine assembly,ballanced and blue printed. Complete Turbo 400 transmission assembly renewed.All suspension bushings and hardware replaced,and ujoints, Four New Good Year Polyglass Tires,Front windshiled and drivers door glass.Front bumpers and chrome center grill bezel and both left and right front grills,Complete black carpet set front and rear and new dash bezel sourounding the factory gage pod..New front ,left and right quarts factory new T3 head lights,complete power steering system,new pump and resevore and power steering box unit and all pressure lines.Features responsive Quick ratio Steering Box,only 2 1/2 tuns lock to lock.New delco hi cranking 800 amp batterey.Saturday night special,Street strip, tourque converter.All rear brake components internally and shoes and drums and lines.New factory gm Coil,New gas tank,New gas tank sending unit,All new fuel lines front to back,all new brake lines front to back ,including all new soft brake lines.All new correct GM radiator hoses with factory date coded tower clamps,Delco remy spark plugs R-45s, and original delco remy black ignition wires,and factory retainers through out the complete ignition system. New center caps and trim rings installed. COOLING System: Complete radiator renewed,4 row cooling ,all new upper and lower gm factory hoses,new heater core installed,New fan clutch.New water pump original gm and new large ear radiator cap. RECONDITIONED PARTS LIST: complete body and paint inside and out.Body lines were blocked out to reveal a very crisp body lines that paralell the car on both sides front to rear. Laser straight ,and mirror paint finish. Rims were blasted clean and repainted rally wheel argent silver . Rear bumper rechromed and original sport cushion grip steering wheel was cleaned and reinstalled.The complete dash assembly was removed and reinstalled durring the painting process and looks and feels factory fresh and tight inplace.The complete wireing system was gone through and rerapped for every wire to be insulated and protected.Original brake master cylinder with bleader screws still present and the brake booster.Original valve covers were cleaned and installed.Inside of fenders repainted and inner fenders repainted and door hinges refurbished to insure a nice easy fit when opening the door and closing. Drivability: Car starts up easily and warms up with no choke and runs and drives like a new car.Very tight feeling to the driver on all levels. Four wheel alignment performed.All fluids changed and topped off.Car is ready for any long journey to anywhere. Valves adjusted to spec,timing set to spec,car pulls to 8500 with no problems,shifts into each gear stong and tight.capable of burning the tires in first gear and second gear and third gear chirps in tune .330 rear gear ratio and open carrier for safe freeway speeds and around town driving.
