This Charger was originally purchased brand new in 1968 by my uncle in Miami, my father purchased it from him in 1970 and shipped it to Venezuela where he sold it in 1971. That person sold it to another individual who had it parked for six years before I purchased it from him in 2000. After I bought it and shipped it back to the states I worked on it for two years restoring it. The car came originally with a 318 (still have) and I switched it for a 440 during restoration, the engine has been rebuilt and does not have six thousand miles on it, transmission has also been replaced with a Torqueflite 727 and it was rebuilt at the time. Rear end is 8 3/4 and has been rebuilt with 3.53 gears, new gas tank, all new adjustable gas shocks, and brakes with disc upgrade in the front. I replaced the wheels with the American Racing style of the time, headers and 3"exhaust pipes. Interior seats and panels are original with a minor tear in driver seat, otherwise they look like new. Carpet and ceiling liner has been replaced with original equipment. This car has been ridden only in parades and shows, but again it was restored ten years ago. The car has been garaged for ten years. There is a little rust discoloration in the trunk floor because I had a car cover which was wet at the time when I put it in the car, but there is no rust in the trunk. This car came with air conditioning from the factory but the compressor is not hooked up and the heater core leaks and neither of them has worked since I own the car with the exception of the fan motor. Beatiful car and I hate to sell it but need the money more than the car.
