Vehicle Detail
1978 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 150K miles Exterior: Good original Olive Brown factory paint. Has some surface rust here and there but nothing terrible. There is rust under the rear ambulance doors that has gone all the way through, this piece can be replaced for $125 from Cool Cruisers of Texas. The front doors and ambulance doors are in pretty good shape with some rust under them, the top is also in good shape and in the same condition. All the glass is good with no cracks. The front bumper is a custom heavy duty one with a 3” receiver channel and clevis shackles on both ends. Interior: The interior is completely stock all the gauges work except the oil pressure gauge, which I replaced with a manual gauge that reads 60lbs of oil pressure at idle. The front and rear heaters are in working condition so are the wipers and all other pull knobs. There is currently not a radio installed but the wires are there to plug on up. The passenger seat is in good shape but the driver seat is torn on the bottom and needs to be recovered. The jump seats are in pretty good shape. The floor boards are solid and original. Extras: It comes with a new black bikini top with windshield channel and rear tie downs. Maintenance: The gear oils in the drive train have been changed. New parts include: spark plugs, belts, oil pressure sending unit, 31x10.50 R15 BGF AT/KO tires, top weather stripping, and various little things that I cannot remember. This Landcruiser runs great. It has a very nice ride and the manual steering is very tight so no wandering around the road. The 4 wheel drive works as well. This Landcruiser is about as close to original as you will find, even down to still having drive flanges, which means that manual locking hubs were never swapped out for factory equipment. The only reason I am selling it is because I just bought another old 4X4 and only need one. They are painted the original color and match up with the rest of the body.*** Vehicle is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally.
