Vehicle Detail
This is a 2002 Dodge Viper I bought for myself to drive and I am a home builder so most of my items need to be sold. I also own a Classic car shop where we restore classic cars. I bought this car on a salvage title and my classic car shop repainted it. The car I was told was parked at a stop sign and a semi turned the corner too sharp and hit the front of the car. When I bought the car someone had already put a used front hood on it and a bumper cover and one headlight but they were not painted. The air bags also had to be replaced and I had to buy both tops because they had been stolen. We repainted the whole car just to make sure that the yellow matched and the paint job is excellent as you might expect when a classic car shop painted it. I did not put the side Viper decals back on because I dont like the looks of them and the front viper decal I also left off but I do have the front one and it will come with the car. For some reason after I had the car inspected here in Minnesota and went and got a new title they sent me back a clear title that was no longer salvage. When you go to put it in your name the car may or may not go back into a salvage title Im not sure. I have the car in storage so Im not sure if the milage of 46K is right but it is close. I have driven the car several thousand miles and it runs and drives perfect. I had a four wheel alignment done on the car and it tracks perfect and no unusual wear on the tires. I would guess at one time the tires have been changed because they are in excellent condition and you would guess with that many miles on them they would be worn. The interior is in excellent condition there is some slight wear on the drivers seat on the side where people slide into the car. It has excellent brand new viper floor mats that I bought that look awesome. Everything inside the car works and looks very nice. The reason I bought a 2002 is that is the last year that they had the cartoonish looking exterior. In 2003 they went to the body style that looked more like a corvette and not as distingushed as the earlier years. This car looks great from the outside and runs and drives perfect. The inside of the car has some slight wear but it also looks excellent. The 2002 viper goes for 35-45K without a salvage title and you can get this car for 10-20K less and the condition and drivablity is exactly the same and for almost half the price of some of them the same year. Your friends and wife wont know the difference and you will have a really cool car for a ton less money. If you think you are going to buy a Viper for an investment and just sit and look at it and hope someday it will go up in value( probably after you are dead) then this is not the car for you. If you want a really nice car that drives great and you plan on using it but you want to spend less money then this is the car for you. I am happy to take it to my shop and have anyone inspect anything they like up on a hoist. You can come out yourself and inspect the car or you can send a third party out to inspect the car. If you look at the price you are getting a heck of a deal for a little bit of money. Thanks for looking at my car and God Bless our troops that are keeping us safe and free.
