Down Sizing, Barn Cleaning and pre Move Sale See My Feedback under REDDCLOUD I am offering one 1931 Ford AA (1 ½ ton) US Postal Truck PROJECT. I have a clear title for the Chassis. This would be a good school project; the automotive department could do the mechanical/chassis parts, while the carpentry department could do the body. Please keep in mind that this is a big project. There will be a lot of mechanical/chassis work, and the body will be a big woodworking project. I have an article on one persons experience restoring one of these trucks which I have scanned and included with the photos. This article will give you a better idea of what will be involved in restoring this truck. The engine does not have any internal parts. I have a basket of internal parts that probably came from that engine - some may be usable, most are probably NOT usable. If you want these parts with the truck you are welcome to them. I do not know the internal condition of the engine block, transmission, rear differential, or other drive train components. The transmission has a piece broken off the bell housing. Parts included: The correct cowl, cowl band, engine (no internal parts), transmission, and assorted wood parts for patterns, and, if I can find it the other half of the rear door latch, otherwise I’ll swap the half in the photo for a complete latch assembly. The body is usable for patterns as most of the wood parts would not be usable on a finished truck. I think, but don't guarantee, most of the essential wood parts are there for patterns, with the possible exception of the window on the driver’s side. I do not have any parts for the windshield. I'll be happy to provide the winning bidder with any information/photos I have that might be helpful in restoring this truck. The cowl has some rust and has been repaired which will need to be redone. The wheels are totally unusable except for moving the truck around the shop. Photos are part of the description and take precedence over any written description. Except items listed below what you see in the photos is what you will get. Exceptions: The extra tailgate hinge and parts. The lifting bars, chains, load binders, and tools you may see in some of the photos are not included. Please ask questions, I’ll do my best to answer them in a timely manner. If you want additional photos let me know what you would like to see and send your direct email address so I can send them to you direct. Vehicle is not running therefore it will need to be moved on a truck or trailer. Pick up only, or arrange your own shipping, I’ll help load if needed. This will need to be picked up no later than 30 days after auction close. The chassis and cowl alone would sell for my reserve price. Deputy Dee wants you to bid to WIN! Dee says "Bid high!
