Okay guys, here’s your chance for a fixer. I love this vehicle but it’s been sitting in the garage for six months so she needs to find a nice new home. Hubby doesn’t have the time to work on her. (shhhss..he doesn't want to work on cars anymore I figured out that out when he let my beloved Jeep sit toooo long!! Don't tell him I said this!!) I was driving it less than a mile from home when it stopped running (no other mechanical issues with this vehicle, it’s been great!!! Obvious by the milage!). Hubby took it apart, finding the intake camshaft broken. Phillips in Virginia Beach has one for $350, plus you need whatever other parts are necessary to get it back together, probably less the $50 for seals & stuff like that). Of course I can’t guarantee that this is the only problem with the motor, but since the cam is broken on the end, it’s very likely. It will also need a battery that someone borrowed but didn’t return. Passenger rear window also doesn’t operate (common) & fuse box latch was broken when we purchased it. 2002 Land Rover Freelander SE All Wheel Drive SUV Clean VA title, just paid it off in May...actual April but the bank didn't care to send it for a month, I think that's illegal, they have only 2 weeks. Color: Black w/tan leather interior. Ding from a tree branch above the windshield center; don’t see any other body damage. I was never rough with her. Miles: Approximately 80k more or less ..likely less. Tires are new, likely less then 200 miles on them...probably 100. Custom installed towing package. Don’t like scraping off your windshield in the winter? This windshield is heated & works great! Heated seats! AC will cool you on a hot summer day. Vehicle has really had only 3 owners. It was a company vehicle then it was sold to a lady who traded it in on something larger because her business grew, she stated she didn't have any problems with it (she put almost 20k on her). I talked to her before we bought it. We purchased it when we lived in Chesapeake, then we moved to NC, hence the different titles. She has been trouble free except for the camshaft.
