This is a 2001 AUDI A8L Quattro. This has been my wife’s car for the past 5 years. We purchased the car on EBay in 2005 when it had 65K miles. We bought it from a dealer in Houston where it spent the first 4 years. We shipped it to Massachusetts when we bought it and even though we have owned it for 5 years it has seen very little rain and snow since we spend most of the winters at our house in Texas. The car is in very good condition both cosmetically and mechanically. We have every service record since we have owned it and we have performed both regular and some rather extensive repairs. All of the issues that generally happen to AUDI’s have already been addressed. Cosmetically it has a few small dings, but overall it looks very very good. We just bought another used car on EBay for my wife and we considered keeping the AUDI car for our oldest daughter who can drive in 2 years, but we just don’t have space to keep another car for that long. In my opinion this is a perfect family car or a first car for a teenager. It’s a tank, has all wheel drive, every option in the book and looks great! Major options: · Quattro full-time all wheel drive · Heated Front and Rear Seats · Heated Steering Wheel · Front/Rear Defrosters · Navigation System (yes the Navigation disk is in the car) · Automatic and Tiptronic Transmission. (Transmission can fully automatic or be shifted by shift lever or by buttons on the steering wheel) · Sunroof/moonroof · Air Conditioning and Power Everything (even power back seats!) · BOSE Premium Stereo with 6 Disc CD Changer as well as single CD Player in Dash · Xenon Headlights · Car also has brand new Pirelli all season tires. Put on in September 2009 at a cost of $850.00 Here’s a list of major repairs since we have owned the car: Obviously routine oil changes and things like that were done every 3K miles. · 2005: At 75K Miles Complete Transmission rebuild $4600.00 · 2006: At 84K Miles Timing belt and water pump replaced $1200.00 · 2009: At 100K Miles All Brakes replaced $1000.00 · 2009: At 109K Miles Thermostat, CV Joints Timing belt and Water Pump replaced $1900.00 Overall the car has performed great for us. We have put 52K Miles on it in 5 years. All of the maintenance has been routine with the exception of the transmission which broke due to a bump to the rear of the car. Unfortunately a small part of the transmission broke which required extensive work to replace. Since then the transmission has been perfect and we are only selling the car because my wife wanted a change after 5 years. Can’t blame her.
